Adira poured herself a hot cup of orange spice tea and then moved over to the small kitchen table with a couple of shortbread biscuits and the latest edition of Witchcraft Magazine. Dimitri was off, helping Ash and Nathan build planters for Ash’s backyard, leaving Adira to a peaceful afternoon all to herself. She thought about visiting Winnie’s magic shop, but decided the call of solitude was simply too strong. It had been awhile since she had any time to herself, usually helping Dimitri carryout his duties. Of course, there had been little to do as of late, the last true dust-up happening at Christmas with Alanna’s cousin, Larissa Stanford.
