“Their bus already left the school,” Josh said as he paced his living room. “They get dropped off on Crabgrass Road. Probably already have.”
Dimitri had called, filling him in on what happened at Aoife’s house and what they found, telling Josh that Lir wasn’t answering his phone and they needed to get to those kids before Aoife did. They didn’t know what she intended to do to them, but from everything Adira had found in the bedroom, it appeared Aoife caused Maggie’s mysterious illness, which brought about her death. The woman was obsessed with Lir, and obviously would stop at nothing to get him all to herself.
