Edward's POV
"Liam, we need to talk."
"No, we don't. I have to get back to work.", He walked passing me.
I quickly pulled his hand and tugged him causing his back to hit my chest. I hissed at our impact but I held him close.
"Ed, let me go. I am not agreeing to any of your ideas. I won't let you use her."
"What is so special about her? Why are you being so protective over that clingy bi-"
That earned me a punch. I groaned clutching to my stomach. He glared at me. His hands clutched at the side. He would hit me for her?
"Never talk about her. She doesn't deserve this Ed. Believe me.", he said leaving me standing watching his back.
"You are mine, Liam. I'm not losing you at her. Never."
How could he be so oblivious about my feelings for him? I have always hinted how much I care for him. I never do hook up. I flirt and that's it. You clouded my mind since the first day you joined the job. He was a bit bland people would say. Never goes for extreme and settles for comfort. But his smile and the look he gives whenever he gets food. I can quite describe what made me fall for him most but I am not willing to lose him.
I stormed into my room and went through some of my files. I could not get him out of my mind at all. I ran my fingers through my hair, letting out a deep sigh looking at all the scattered papers on my table.
"Lisa, could you connect my line to Mr Joaquin's.", I asked my secretary through my intercom.
"Right away, sir.",she replied.
Lisa is the only person that doesn't lust over me and she also knows the feelings I have towards Liam. She always has been a support for me. Well, most of the time I would go running for her asking advice on how I could impress him. I believe she is the second best person to keep my secret beside Marcus. Of course, Marcus knew about my crush on Liam but he never said anything. I could say that anyone could see my feelings for him except for that innocent guy himself.
"Sir, Mr Joaquin is on the line."
"Thank you, Lisa", I said turning towards the window and picking up my phone.
"Yes, Edward what do you want?"
"It's about what I proposed earlier. She is the right person, Marcus", I loosened my tie.
"Ed, I don't want to involve anyone into this because of your jealousy. I am not risking anything. I need a professional actress who won't spoil any of my plans.", he sighed.
"Believe me. I am not acting on my jealousy-", I paused for a moment catching my breath.
"I am not ok. I know she is the right person. She could carry this, she fooled you and me. That's the talent we are looking for. Now, Liam would not let us lay a finger on her. I will do her background check up and I will find out if she is looking for a job. You just have to block her from any job offers.", I ruffled my hair turning to face my laptop.
"Alright, but if anything goes wrong it's all on you.", he said hanging up.
"Everything will go well. I know it will.", I whispered convincing myself.
