Thea's POV

I stood behind Liam as he talked with his boss and Edward. I sure didn't think it through before pulling my stunt but it was worth the risk and the annoyed look his boss gave me. Unfortunately, I had to join them for lunch. How annoying? I wanted to spend time alone with baby Liam not them. And what the hell with the calculating look in Edward's eyes. I tugged at Liam's shirt wanting some attention.

"Yes, baby?", he turned.

I sighed and shrugged. He pulled me into his side understanding my discomfort. I have been away from my bestie for 4 years. I never thought he would have grown to be this fine. I smiled looking at him, how I missed my home. Liam always has been my home. The only place I willingly want to get back to.

"Boss, I'll take my car. You guys go ahead first." , Liam said.

"We will just take one car Liam, its faster that way.", Edward said a bit annoyed and glared at me.

"Thea?", Liam raised his eyebrow.

"I'm fine with it.", I shrugged not caring anymore.

We got into the car. Liam and I sat at behind and I instantly leaned towards Liam. I miss snuggling with him. He ruffled my hair making it a mess. I slapped his hands away while giggling. His boss was awfully quiet. And what the hell is up with that Edward guy with his cold death glares.

"When did you come back from Paris Thea? You didn't have the audacity to notice me a bit? And here I thought you missed me."

"This morning you dummy. I came to you right away after landing here.", I laughed.

"You didn't go to your home?"

I flinched and moved away from him. He sighed and pulled me closer again. This isn't a great place to have this conversation.

"We will talk later. ", I nodded at Liam and gazed out of the window.

Along the ride, I sealed my lips zoning out from the conversation the three of them were having. They are riding quite far just for lunch, I might say. Their talk on business came to halt as we pulled out at an Italian restaurant. Yum, I might just get myself a pizza. Just as we were climbing down, my stomach growled earning a big laugh from Liam. I blushed as the other two snickered at me. Hey, you can't blame a hungry girl.

"Come on now pumpkin, I have to feed you before I get chewed.", Liam pulled me.

"Hey, stop calling me that. ", I blushed.

"Aww, my pumpkin is embarrassed. You will always be my pumpkin."

"Pumpkin my ass.", Edward whispered but I didn't miss it. That earned him a smack from his boss. Guess he heard it too.

We settled down me beside Liam and across me was the obnoxious Edward. A waitress came, as she the three men she purred and asked for the order in stupidly seducing tone. I gagged. Liam smacked my head. I groaned while rubbing my head.

"One prawn bolognese, a regular sized pepperoni pizza with extra cheese, a black coffee and chocolate milkshake for me, please.", Liam order.

"I am impressed you still remember my favourites, young man.", I smirked.

I excused myself to the washroom as the other two were ordering. I washed my face hoping the sleep would go away. I cringed at how awful I look without any makeup on. Tying my hair into a bun and putting a bit of lip balm, I walked back to our table. As I was making my way there, it seemed as if they were arguing.

They stopped when Liam spotted me walking back to him with a tired smile. We ate in silence. Liam and Edward were glancing at each other. I shivered at the cold atmosphere radiating from Liam. The drive back to the Joaquin Corporation was also damn quite but I could not care less. I was just looking for a place to crash and pass out.

"You sure, you can drive?", Liam asked concerned.

"Of course. Now give me your key and punch in your address here. I'll meet you at your apartment later ok?", I said as I got into my car.

"Drive safe and text me once you reach my apartment.", I showed my thumbs up at him and pecked a kiss on his cheek.
