Chocolate VS Coffee

"Why did you do that?" Liam grumbled as he got inside the car. "Because I felt like it," Thea replied as she skimmed through the file that Marcus gave her earlier. She threw it at the back seat and plugged in her earphone. "Be a dear, read everything and summarize it for me." she winked before closing her eyes. Liam huffed as he eyed the file. Even he found it ridiculous to read that but knowing Marcus he knew Thea should memorize it. For sure, he would make Thea go through some exams and test to make sure whether she memorized it or not. He groaned and banged his head on the steering wheel. Thea gave him a look and mouthed "what". Liam shook his head and focused driving. As soon as they got to the apartment Thea went to her room and dropped on her bed. Liam trudged along and lied beside her with the file. "You do know your boss is crazy right? " Thea laughed as she took the file and read the first page. There she saw his passport-sized photo with his almost every detail from height to weight. She traced along with his photo and read his name carefully. "Marcus Neil Joaquin. Interesting" Liam was about to say something but he was cut off by a call from Edward. He picked it up lazily. "Yes. I'm home," he answered as he walked out of the room leaving Thea to read the file. After a few hours of on the call, Liam went back to Thea's room to find her asleep with the file on its last page. He smiled and pecked a kiss on her forehead. He pulled out the file and tugged her properly in her bed. He knew she wouldn't be having that much sleep at night so he should let her be as long as she gets her sleep. He continued to prepare dinner and clean everything he could. Not like there was anything left to do since The had been doing all the cleaning since she was back. He just made some pasta and picked up a cake from a nearby bakery shop. This should be enough to cheer her up, Liam thought. She was finally diving into dreamless sleep when she heard that taunting voice. As if it was ringing loud next to her ears. She struggled to run far away from the ringing but she kept tripping. She turned and trashed. She gasped for air and forced her eyes open just to find herself tangled in sheets and her phone ringing at the side. Thea was sweating furiously. She sighed and grabbed her phone to find an unknown caller ID. "Hello," she breathed as she dangled her feet at the side of the bed. "Is this Thea? I'm Marcus." "Yes, it's me. I guess Ed passed my number to you." "Yeah. By the way, I just wanted to tell you that we'll be going on a date this Sunday just to show my mother's spies that we are dating." "Uh.. yeah sure." "I'll pick you up at 8 am then. Goodbye. " Before she could say anything further he hung up. She groaned and threw the phone on her bed. Why the hell am I going on a date that early morning? Freaking prick, she cursed mentally. She stomped into the kitchen to find Liam setting dinner for them. "Hey grumpy," he said as he saw the bitter face of Thea but turning bright at the sight of the pasta and cake. "Your boss is crazy and I need these foods." she snatched her plate and dug right in. "What did he do now?" "He... Ashked on dashe at eigsh in mornighh" Thea's gibberish words spurted as she chewed on her food. "Morning? By the way, that's so gross Thea. You either eat or talk." He grunted and threw the towel he was holding straight to her face. They laughed it off together.
