Thea's POV
"Are you sure about this pumpkin?" I looked through the window how the after rain effect tainted my window.
An involuntary sigh escaped through my lips as I turned my gaze towards Liam and Edward who was standing in my room entrance. I shook my head and motioned them to sit on my bed as I moved towards my wardrobe, looking through my dress to pick a dress.
"I'm not sure" I paused, collecting courage that I never had "but I have to go back to them, family, that's who they are. I promised I will be back and I am fulfilling it."
I shook my thoughts off. Yesterday, I decided to be back and now I am only 5 minutes away from getting back home. How I wish it didn't feel that foreign to be addressing that house my home. I purposely slowed down the speed of my vehicle. I badly wanted to turn back but my phone was constantly ringing either it was Mac or dad giving me constant text that they are waiting for my arrival.
They didn't tell the others that I already came back from my disappearance. This even more increased my headache. Liam did offer to be there with me when I drove back home but I knew Edward had made a special reservation and they deserved some break from me constantly being there. I hate how my presence at Liam's apartment spoils every little moment they have. I tried talking Liam into letting me move out but he was hell-bent on keeping me around him. But sure I understand his worries about me.
All my wandering thought came to halt as I unintentionally drove by my parent's house. I hit the brake and reversed back. Taking a deep breath I collected my handbag and the gifts I bought for them. I pushed out a forced smile as my heels clicked at the pavement. Standing in front of the door I heard commotions from inside.
"Mac, who is coming? Why are we cooking this much?" I giggled as I heard my mothers nagging.
I took another deep breath and pushed the bell. "I will get the door." I heard a small voice crying out as the running noise came to halt in front of the door.
The door creaked revealing a little girl quizzically looked up at me and gave me lopsided smile. "Mommy, there's a pretty girl."
I laughed and crouched down at her level, taking out a bar of chocolate I gave it to her. "You grow up to be very pretty, Princesa."
"¿Hija?(Daughter?)" My breath hitched as I heard my mother's shocked voice.
"Hi, mom." I stood up and smiled at her.
I heard a few gasps, as I glanced behind her. The whole family was there, looking at me as if I am a ghost. Dad and Mac both rushed by my side saving me from the whole awkward atmosphere. The awkwardness was almost chocking me and my stomach churned at the gazes I received.
"Let's get inside, shall we?" Dad pulled me into a bear hug while Mac took all the bags I had. Breaking our eye contest, me and mom quietly followed dad and Mac inside. This is sure going to be a very long day and I have a hunch that I am most probably gonna regret coming back without Liam.
