Scared

     Now

    Thea woke up gasping for air. Sweat covered her, with her ragged breath she sat at the corner of her bed. Then she frantically moved towards her handbag, rummaging through it looking for the thing that would help her. Tears were bursting as her hands shook uncontrollably. Everything that she wanted to forget so badly came rushing back. She threw her bag away and moved to her luggage to search but she halted when she saw Liam and Edward was there looking at her. Liam was beyond shaken looking at Thea's condition while Edward held Liam. Liam moved and held out a bottle full of pills. Thea snatched them from Liam's palm and gulped down two pills. She slumped on the floor and covered her face. She was beyond embarrassed and scared. 

"Rose" Liam inched closer.

"Stop, please. Liam don't. Please don't come closer please." Thea whimpered.

    She was supposed to be moving on. Last time he checked, she said she was off medication and everything was normal. But nothing has changed, Liam saw the same fear that he saw four years ago. The strong and bold Althea, who was completely broken. When he found her that night, he knew Thea would never come back. The screams and tears were still fresh as if it happened yesterday.

    "Are you sure?" Liam asked again at Thea and glanced at Ron who was waiting for him patiently.

"Yes, Liam. Go on. Have fun with Ron. I'll be fine. After all, this is my engagement party." Thea promised as she pushed Liam towards Ron with a knowing smile. 

    Liam had his fair share of fun with Ron but as the time was moving he noticed that Ron was constantly looking at his phone and was on edge whenever Liam wanted to get inside the banquet hall again. Liam shook it off and tried to talk himself out saying that he was being paranoid. When Ron's friend took him away for a talk, Liam decided he should check on Thea since he hadn't seen her for a while. When he went back inside, Magnus, Thea's fiance was talking with Thea's father. He went to look for her, after searching for a while he tried calling her but her phone was switched off. 

    He asked around then one of Magnus's colleague told him that he saw Magnus escorted Thea into a room upstairs at the hotel since she was feeling a bit dizzy. He asked around again and finally reached the room, the room was unlocked when he entered he saw Thea shaking on the bed. Her body covered in the sheets and her cries were horrible.

"Rose?", he touched her.

    As soon as his hands laid on her shoulder, she screamed hysterically. She screamed at the top of her lungs and moved away from Liam while chanting Liam's name asking him for help. Liam was puzzled for a while but then he saw the claw marks and bite marks on her body. He saw blood on the sheet. Then he rushed towards her and shook her, telling her it was him.

"Rose! It's me, Liam! What the hell happened?"

Now

"I tried Liam, to forget everything but I couldn't do it. He still scares me, Liam. They would never believe me. I never did it."

    Liam held Thea close to her as he comforted her. His friend was still hurting, he should have gone with her. If only he did not follow her, he would have never made it and got her. Edward sat right beside Thea, to say he was shocked would be an understatement. He was beyond shocked. Now he understood why Liam has been so protective over this one girl. When Liam told him everything and started to cry, Edward was so lost of word to comfort any of them. He sat there patiently hoping the two of them would calm down. Even the playful Thea seemed so different today and it pained him to see her like that. 

    At first, he was annoyed with her for ticking him off but since he started to grow fond of her. She helped a lot with his relationship with Liam. To think the cheerful to be crying and be this broken made him enraged. When Liam stalked inside Thea's house, he followed right behind. He would have punched Peter for spouting all the nonsense but he knew it was not his place to do so. Back to Liam 's apartment, Thea was constantly whimpering at the back seat. She even started to scream at one point. She did not stop until Liam held her close and started rocking her like a baby.
