Fix the Broken

Three days have passed since then. Liam returned to work finally after a lot of persuasion by Thea. He refused to leave her side until he was sure that she was fine. As Thea was cleaning the kitchen, the doorbell rang. She huffed a sigh and slowly walked towards the door. She took every step carefully while picking up her courage to face Mac. She needs to know what happened to her father's company and what had happened when she was gone. She opened the door ajar to welcome Mac, he came with his fiancee of course. He already informed it but as to who was beside him took her by surprise. 

It was Naila, her bully and enemy. It wasn't anything serious though. Liam and Thea always stood up for themselves whenever they faced Naila. Naila rushed in to hug Thea. That took her really by surprise. 

    "I missed you, Rose!" Naila whispered.

Thea coughed and pulled herself from the hug. "Uh, yeah. Please come in. Liam will be here soon and yeah come in", she stuttered. 

    "Ila, you scared her." Mac laughed as he ruffled Thea's hair and headed inside. 

Thea asked them to wait at the hall while she went away to pick up some drinks. She silently prayed that Liam would be back to save her from an awkward situation. It was already awkward enough with Mac but Naila? That scared the s**t out of her. When did it happen really? Naila and Mac seriously? Just on cue like the God heard her prayers, the front door opened as Liam and Edward entered with their  'We're home, Thea'. 

    "Mac, where's Thea?" Liam asked but before they could answer Thea walked out of the kitchen carrying a tray of drinks and some snacks. 

Edward slumped on the sofa and pulled Thea and Liam to sit along beside him. Thea was squished by both Liam and Edward with her being in the middle. Mac glared at Edward as the sight him being so close with his sister was bothering him.

    "Thea, come sit here. You seem uncomfortable there." Mac said.

    "No, I am comfortable here with Liam and Ed." that came out more like a whimper of protest.

Edward chuckled and pulled Thea closer to him, just to make Mac more pissed. Naila whispered 'be good' at Marc and motioned for him to take the drink Thea made. Liam just shook his head at Edward's antiques. 

    "So, what happened after I.. uh ran away?" Thea hesitated and hung down her head.

    "Magnus, he broke all the partnership right after he couldn't find you. Peter struggled bad, then Mia got pregnant not long after that. Mom got hospitalized due to all the stress. And uh... " Mac took a long pause. 

    "Tell me everything. Mac, I need to know." Thea demanded.

    "Peter and Mia lost their baby. He was broken since he lost almost everything."

Thea stood up. "I need a moment, please." She walked away into her room. As she walked in, she paced back and forth, her hands were shaking. Liam got to her and pulled her into a hug.

    "It wasn't your fault," Liam whispered.

    "I have to fix this Liam, the things I have broken. The company, the family and everything. I have broken so many things."

    "We will fix this together. Now listen to me, it's not your fault. Remember that."

Thea nodded. After calming down, they both walked back to the hall just to find Mac gazing a hole on Edward while Edward was whistling and playing on his phone. Thea laughed, at the sight of them. Edward looked up and winked at her.

    "Ed, stop it. Mac would kill you." Thea giggled and took her seat.

Later, Mac explained that their company is still running in lost but Peter is still trying to run the company. That's where Naila comes in, she helped them to stabilize the company after her graduation. They fell in love working together. After explaining everything that happened, finally, he asked. 

    "Why did you ran away, Rose?"
