Nicole's Pov
As we approach the pack grounds, I can’t help but glance nervously out the window, scanning the area. My heart pounds in my chest as I silently hope that Drake’s instructions have been followed and no one is in wolf form. The last thing I need is for my father to see something that would raise questions before I’ve had the chance to explain everything.
When the car comes to a stop under the carport, I see Drake already waiting for us on the porch, his calm and steady presence giving me a moment of relief. I take a deep breath, trying to steady myself, before stepping out of the car.
The sound of another engine draws my attention, and I watch as my dad parks his car next to ours. He steps out, his eyes wide as he takes in the surroundings.
