“I would take Esam over the alpha if I was you.” Mekka started over the counter.
I hadn't even asked for her opinion on the matter. Hadn't even finished my story.
I was halfway through telling her how Esam saved me and how the alpha saved my son when she chipped in what she had just said.
I paused, my lips parted midway conversation with an eyebrow raised at her.
“Uhmm, okay?”
“Oh, I didn't mean to stop you, I was just telling you what I had in mind.” she shrugged, putting away her fine china.
I still said nothing, watching where this conversation was leading to.
“Don't mind me, Isabella. I was just thinking about you. If I was in your position, I would pick Esam. He's a very good man.”
