{THE LOSS} Susan Jefferson wakes up and goes down on her knees to render prayers of gratitude unto God. Then her husband Jonathan wakes up immediately. After that she proceeds to greet her husband. ‘’ Good morning, honey!! He smiles and gives her a peck on the cheek, Susan giggles and Jonathan asks Susan why she giggled she then said! ‘’Well, it was because you know!! Morning breathe.’’ She giggled again ‘’oh, so you’re saying my mouth smells?? Said Jonathan. ‘’ No, that’s not true, my love!! (She hesitates) But it’s true, we both shouldn’t lie to ourselves. It does stink.’’ ‘’it’s alright, I guess I’ll give you more of this morning breathe.. says Jonathan ‘’ Jonathan please!! She runs out laughing and Jonathan smiles. Susan goes ahead to her son’s room and wakes him up. ‘’Justin, why are you still in bed, you’re going to be late for school.’’ He rolls to the left side of his bed, ‘’Hmmm..okay mom. He gets up from bed. Susan further proceeds to her daughters room, and wakes them up as well and tells them.. ‘’Jessica, Emily hurry up breakfast will be served at 7:10. ‘’Okay mom!!! said Jessica and Emily. At about 7:10, they all sat for breakfast and started having their meal, then Jonathan said.. ‘’It’s such a blessing to have everyone of you here. I’m so glad to be here with you all, my heart is filled with so much gratitude, I pray we will always be happy just as we are.’’ ‘’me too, I’m so lucky to have you and this amazing gifts from God, here with me. I would never trade you all for anything, you all mean the world to me. said Susan, ‘’And I’m happy I’m the baby of the house and no one can change that!! Said Emily They all laughed in synch while Jessica starts to cough, then Justin hands her a glass of water ‘’ here’s a glass of water Jess!’’ She takes it and drinks the water ‘’ thanks Justin,’’ said Jessica ‘’ you’re welcome’’ said Justin ‘’I can’t believe we lacked table manners when we were suppose to keep it, I guess it’s doesn’t kill a bird if we laugh a little’’ said Jonathan ‘’ but it is still wrong though, we should always exhibit table manners, talking while eating isn’t proper.’’ said Susan ‘’ But you also sort of disobeyed the table manners mom, so I guess you’re also part of it all(she laughs). said Jessica ‘’She’s right mom, you did not also adhered to the concept of it,so that means you also don’t have( he hesitates) said Justin ‘’ table manners!! the one who deems herself correct must be the worst.’’ Said Jonathan ‘’honey your siding with them I can’t believe you.’’ said Susan They all laughed and finished up and hurried to get prepared for their day. ‘’ I’m really going to miss you my love. said Susan ‘’ I’m not leaving forever, I’m just heading to work!’’ Said Jonathan ‘’ yes I know!! you know you’ve not been around for a while now, ever since you went for your business trip. And I’ve miss you so much, you just came back two days ago. said Susan ‘’ Don’t worry honey, I’ll be back by 8, when I come back, it will be a fun time with you and the kids. Okay..’’ said Jonathan ‘’ okay!! If you say so, I love you!! Said Susan ‘’ I love you more. (he kisses her on the forehead) ‘’come on dad, we are getting late!’’ Said Justin ‘’ I’m coming son! You know how your mom is,’’ ‘’ fine Justin Jefferson, you can have your dad, you all be safe okay!! ‘’ okay!!(All) Jonathan enters the car and drives the kids to school and later heads to his office. At school Justin meets up with his friends ‘’ hey bro, what’s up’’ says Zachary ‘’ I’m good, what’s the update’’ ‘’ nothing much, just tired of school.’’ said Zachary ‘’ you couldn’t be tired than I am. I’m so fed up.’’ said Justin ‘’ me to.’’ said Joshua ‘’ ahh I was even about asking about you, I thought you said you and your family were relocating to the uk.’’ said Justin ‘’ yes we were, but something came up,so for now I’m still gonna stick around.’’ said Joshua ‘’ I guess we’re gonna see ourselves more often, let’s enjoy the ride.’’ Said Zachary They all continued talking as they head to class. Meanwhile Jess with her girlfriend are busy discussing in class. ‘’ girl, My mom just bought me the new gucci bag, and when I say it’s luxury at its highest peak. It is trusted, valid and expensive.’’said Anna ‘’ that’s really nice of your mom, I’m happy for you dear.’’ said Jessica ‘’ Jess girl! Why aren’t you ordering bags, like your dad has the money and you don’t even want to spend it on yourself, believe me if I were in your shoe I’d have bought a car.’’ said Anna ‘’ I don’t fancy luxury, yeah! I know I have enough luxury. But as it stands. I’d rather give it to someone who really need help, yeah I have countless bags, dresses, jewelries I would rather just help people you know!! We weren’t meant to just have money to enjoy for ourselves only,but to help others in need.’’ Said Jessica ‘’ girl we are blessed to come out of a family wealthy as ours, we should make the most out of it. It’s not really that bad to spend money and enjoy yourself girl stop making it seem bad’’ ‘’ Anna we’re 16, we’re pretty young and I don’t want my parents money to be the only reason people know me, I want them to know me for who I am.’’ Said Jessica ‘’ girl, if you say so.’’ said Anna The boys walks in, and Anna said ‘’ Jess I know I haven’t told you this, but your twin brother is so hot and I think I have a crush on him.’’ ‘’ is that so!’’ Said Jessica ‘’ what!! Lover girl’’ ( she laughs silently) ‘’ you always laugh at me on such matter I don’t want to talk to you anymore,’’ said Anna ‘’ Okay I’m sorry, fine since you like him I’ll support you, okay..! ‘’yeah, Thanks babe.’’ said Anna ‘’You’re welcome’’ said Jessica They all sat down, until the teacher comes in and there was total silence in class. ‘’ Good morning, student.’’said mrs Tina ‘’ Good morning, ma.’’( all the student) ‘’ so I believe you all are good, I’m not here to tutor you, but to pass a vital information to you all.. so there will be no lectures today, for the school is trying to navigate and re-shuffle teachers in this premises. That is, I might not be your teacher in the coming days, you will have a new teacher soon.’’ Said mrs Tina ‘’ oh no, Why!! ‘’ Said Jessica silently ‘’so you all have a nice day, for there will be no class today. Good day to you all’’ said mrs Tina She leaves the class and the noise intensifies. ‘’ Mrs Tony is literally the best teacher in the whole school, she is the reason why I know biology, physics and basically what I know today.’’ said Jessica ‘’ it’s fine dear, let’s not take it that serious. they could make changes.’’ Said Anna At the boy’s quad.. ‘’ why are people reacting so weirdly, it’s just a re-shuffle.’’ Said Zachary ‘’ well, it is a big deal for Jessica, she’s not taking it at all’’ said Joshua They look towards her direction and see her complaining. ‘’Yeah, mrs Tina has been a great inspiration for her in terms of her academics.’’ said Justin ‘’ oh, She is such a nerd’’ said Zachary Zachary and Joshua laughed ‘’ what did you just say?? Justin Said angrily ‘’ bro!! Chill, it’s not a bad word, yeah she’s smart and all that, but she takes it too far.’’ said Zachary He grab holds of Zachary’s uniform and this steered an awareness in the class. ‘’ Say that one more time, and you’ll see me take it so far.’’ said Justin Jessica interferes ‘’ Justin!! What do you think you’re doing, this is a school not a boxing ground do you want to get expelled?? Let him go, Justin if mom and dad finds out you fought someone it isn’t going to be funny.’’ Said Jessica He holds for a second and then let’s him go and walks away. They all went back to their seats. Back at home mrs Susan is preparing delicacies for the kids and husband when she receives a call from her husband. ‘’ oh this husband of mine, he misses me already, let me wash my hands quickly.’’ said Susan She washes her hands and picks the phone ‘’ Hello my love, so I thought you weren’t going to call me again.’’ ‘’how’re you Susan, did you miss me.’’said unknown caller ‘’Who are you, what are you doing with my husband’s phone.’’ said Susan A car horns!! ‘’I have a gift for you outside, go and check it out’’ said unknown caller Susan in shock goes outside and saw her husband’s car and walks Towards the car. And beyond she saw her husband body covered in blood and shots of guns. ‘’ Jonathan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!’’ (She screamed) To be continued…………
