“I expect that any and all correspondences come by my desk first.” The old man leaned forward. “As temporary president of the company, I expect to remain informed.” first “Of course, sir.” John thought he might be sick. He loosened his tie a bit more. Mr. Wolfenstein leaned back in his chair, picking up his pen again. “What is the update on the Esquirer?” At John’s hesitation, he looked up from his legal pad. “John?” John started—caught by surprise. As his brain regained normal functioning, he searched through the papers on the table in front of him. “Uh…yes, sir, I have it here…” He reached down and fumbled with his briefcase.
