CHAPTER THIRTY. Laura fixed her gaze on the wall, deep in thought. She had just woken up from a horrible dream and she didn't feel like sharing it with Marcus. Infact, she'd left the bed as soon as she'd woken up and went to sit on the chaise beside the bed. Sighing, her eyes strayed to Marcus who still lay asleep, sprawled on her big queen's bed. She didn't want to admit what had been disturbing her or that this worry was giving her nightmares that shook her greatly. She stood then, pulling her wrapper tighter around her body to prevent the chills that continued to assuage her, as well as the memories of the chain of nightmares she'd been having.
