Chapter 15
“Can I see some I.D?” They both produced them. She checked them. They looked authentic to her law oriented eyes.
“You want to bring me in for what exactly?” The lawyer side of her asked. She knew it would be related to Chris. He was a scar she could never heal from even when he promised to leave her alone.
“When we get to the station, you will find out”, the bald man said. His partner reached for her hand. She took her arm out of his reach.
“I am not going with you to the station. I am a lawyer and I know you don’t have the right to force me to follow you to the station. That line you used is one used for suspects. I am sure I am no suspect and have not done anything incriminating. So...” The partner grabbed her free arm quickly and tightly. Alarm shot through her whole body
