CHAPTER TWO Sheriff Tom Bridger dropped his ballcap on the bar and sat down. “The usual?” Billy Two Moons asked already pouring whiskey into a glass. He and Tom had been friends so more years than Billy could remember and in the ten years that Tom had been Sheriff he had the habit of stopping at the bar each night on this way home from the office. He always ordered the same thing, Buffalo Trace. Tom nodded. “How are things going? I heard you found a body up at the trailhead,” Billy tried to coax Tom into a conversation. “Yeah, we did.
