“Where the hell have you been?!” I shouted when I saw Maya coming out of the restroom with joy beaming in her eyes. “You got me worried about you and you stand there with a smile on your face. You better start explaining because I f*****g called your parents asking about you.”
“Take a chill pill, Kendra!” Maya replied with a narrowed brow. “Do I look like a child to you? You don't have to call my parents for anything. By the way, I had a little tour around but I will be back tomorrow and the next.”
“What do you mean?” I asked but she rolled her eyes and snapped her fingers at me. “You will see. Thanks for having me over, Kendra. It's been one hell of a ride and I can't wait to see what this empire has to offer.”
