It was late at night when I arrived at the conference, father didn't just adjust the timing but made the journey a stressful one as well. I arrived at the meeting at exactly 10 pm and all eyes were on me, including some congressmen. The media was buzzing with camera flashes everywhere, and all I could do was sigh in distress because Father had completely turned it into something huge. Maybe he just wanted to get his party to shut it and the others to respect him again. It was a complete showoff of power.
“Isn't this too much?” I asked, but Father dismissed me with his piercing gaze and hardened expression.
He has always been that way around his colleagues. A tough and fierce governor who commands respect with his presence. He never smiles at anyone except when around his family.
