Chapter 3

KENDRA My heart pounded against my chest when I woke up to the bright light around me. I looked at my surroundings, and my eyes widened. I clutched the sheet on my body and dared to look beneath it. I was naked. “What the hell?!” I screamed. I instantly regret drinking that much. Why am I in a hotel? What is happening to me? My head spun with so many questions running through it. The light coming through the window blurred my vision and I covered my eyes with one hand. The last thing I remember was my sister running for help at the club when I passed out. How did I get here? I tried to move away when I felt a heavy arm wrapped around my waist. I growl, rubbing my eyes in disbelief. I tried to scream in horror when I saw a naked man lying next to me. His grip on me tightened and he let out a low growl. My eyes suddenly widened seeing his sexy orbs. It felt like I was lying next to a Greek god. I have no idea who this man is. Father is going to kill me if he finds out about this. “No! No! No!” I whisper under my breath with my eyes widened in horror as I look at his naked body. The sudden discomfort between my legs opened my eyes to the fact that I just tossed my virginity to a total stranger, and I had no memory of what had happened. “So much for a wedding gift,” I cried slightly. My phone buzzed beside the bed, causing me to jolt before retrieving it. Kylie's phone number pops up on the screen and I instantly connect the call. “Where the hell are you, sis? I can't find you anywhere. I left you in my room last night and you just disappeared? I am never taking you clubbing ever again. Come back home, father is waiting for you. Liam hasn't seen you since last night either. You are in serious trouble, girl.” I quickly whisper on the phone, “I am coming. I am still at the hotel.” There was a brief pause on Kylie's end, “What hotel? The last time I checked, you weren't there; just come back home already.” I look at the man lying in bed beside me, completely wasted. “I am coming now.” Although I would love to see his surprised face when he wakes up and finds me beside him, I can't stay another minute around this stranger. If words get out, I will be in serious trouble with my family. Father will be affected and the media will finally have something to bring him down with. I can't believe I ended up as the bad child after all these years. I quickly look around the room, my eyes searching for my clothes. I slid into them and tied my hair to a bun. My gaze landed on the mirror, and I tried to put some makeup on when I saw hickey on my neck. “f**k!” I cursed under my breath. I took my stuff and ran to the door but my steps faltered when I bumped into a man with a broad smirk on his face. My legs shook like jelly, and I took a step back. I turned to have a glimpse of Prince Charming on the bed; he was still wasted even at that moment. I just couldn't understand what was wrong with him. “Who are you?” I ask, almost choking on my words. “I have to go now, please leave the way.” He looked at me and his lips curled up in mischief. I tried to get away from him but then I heard a sudden crowd coming towards the room. My heart kept racing and my body trembled. The room was crowded with paparazzi, cameras clicking from each corner as I tried to shield my face from the scandal. I ran and hid behind the mystery man the moment he opened his eyes. Our eyes met and his eyes widened with a scrunched face. He turned to look at the crowd and suddenly realized he was naked. “What the hell?!” He growled, clutching the sheets to cover his nakedness. “Say something,” I scream behind him. “Who the hell are you?!” He asked with an indifferent tone that sent shivers down my spine. “How did you get into my room?” “I should be asking you the same thing,” I shouted but he shot me a cold glare. “Mister Damon, can you explain what this scene is? I am sure it will ruin your career,” the media kept throwing questions at him but he growled and slammed against their cameras. “Mister Damon,” I muttered. He grabbed his phone and dialed on it, causing me to wonder who the hell he is. The room was filled with hefty security guards. I just stood there in shock, wondering who the mystery man might be to command such influence. “Get them out of here and make sure nothing gets out,” he ordered and his guards complied immediately. He rolled his eyes and let out a deep sigh that hung right in the air when the media finally left. I rose and try to run outside, whimpering in fear when his blazing gaze cast on mine. The security guards snarled at me and blocked my way. I was in trouble. “You!” I froze when his voice deepened at me, and I gulped down my saliva. That masculine voice— there was something about it. Fuck! He sounds hot. I turned around to meet his gaze and my legs shook like jelly. “Come closer,” he ordered. I looked around the room, my eyes flickering everywhere. “I can explain,” I said. He looks at me and rolls his eyes, waving his guards to step back. He dipped his hand on the drawer beside him after opening it and took out a bundle of cash. “Here you go,” he tossed it on the floor like I was a beggar. “Not a single word goes out. I have no idea who you are, and you never saw me. Understood?!” His eyes crinkled at me. What the hell does he take me for?! Some cheap w***e?! “How dare you?! Who do you think you are? You should be apologizing for taking my virgin–” My eyes widened when I realized I almost announced my virginity he had taken away from me without my consent. I took the cash and slammed it on his face and the guards surrounded me, making my legs shake uncontrollably. He waves at them and they let me be. I braced myself and left with my dignity intact. To hell with his money.
