∽ m i r a c l e  ∽   Boring. "Meh," I sighed. I was now lying on my bed, forming a ‘T’ letter. Staring on the ceiling of my room, I was thinking about him. I was not really expecting him to come here to the Philippine. And he was studying also at Universitas du Soleil, huh? "Meh," I sighed loudly again and laid flat on my stomach. I have been rotating nonstop on my bed for a while now. I was waiting for Nate. I got bored waiting for him. I yawned as I reflected on the things I did a while ago—the time that I was waiting for Nate. I had already eaten my dinner, finished cleaning my body, and done brushing my teeth. Why did he have to take so long? I also did all my evening rituals an hour ago. I finished doing my homework. I had also finished half of my newly bought book. I yawned again as I glanced at the digital clock on my side table. And unexpectedly, the doorbell rang. Oh, he arrived here at exactly 19:30. I stood up to my bed. My body was so lazy to move, and I was sleepy already. I stretched my body for a bit and headed towards the door. And it was really Nathan. He was currently waiting outside. Well, his face was showing here in the intercom. I opened the door for him and he welcomed me with a big smile. "Hime!" "Nate," I greeted with a deadpan tone. "Oh? What's with that face?" he asked cluelessly. "Nothing, really." I shrugged off and turned my back. I sensed his passive look. "You crabbed brat," he huffed. We both walked inside and I heard him commenting, "Pretty nifty, huh?" while checking the whole penthouse. "Do you want to eat dinner?" "No, don't bother." "Why, so?" I inquired him, as we went to my living area and sat on the sofa bed. "I ate dinner with the five," he answered and settled beside me with a grunt. Nate immediately wrapped an arm on my shoulders and asked, "How's my Hime?" "Well, I'm fine," I answered and sleepily placed my head on his shoulder. "So you're a leader of a g**g now?" He laughed. "Well, yes. Why?" "You never told me about your g**g members." "Oh, right," he muttered with a sarcastic innocent face. "As far as I can remember, you never wanted to meet my gang." “Eh, did I?” “Yes, you little hermit,” he taunted and pinched my left cheek. “You said that you don’t care about the Cold Warriors.” I pursed my lips. “Okay, okay. I remember that moment just now.” I clicked my tongue. I admitted that I was an anti-social geek. “But why did you form a g**g? What’s your purpose?” Nate showed me his boyish grin. “Nothing really, we’re just bored that time and got ourselves involved in a g**g war unintentionally. And so we thought, it was a cool past-time to fight in the Underground.” "Just out of fun, huh?” I shook my head in disbelief. They were crazier than I thought. “Well, I'm expecting your members will be manlier." "Why, Hime?" he chided, "Aren’t they manly?" "No . . ?" "So they are not?" Nathan asked in a dull tone and face. "Yeah. No," I uttered even without thinking. "Seriously." He almost rolled his eyes on me. "What are you trying to say?" "No," I repeated. "You little dumb," Nathan scolded and flicked my forehead that hard! "Aw!" I cried as I was awakened by my dumb self. While caressing my forehead, I moved away from him, pushing Nathan with a strong force. "It hurts, you dumb idiot!" Dumb idiot? Nathan laughed, moving closer again to me. "Where?" He then caressed my bangs, looking for my forehead. "Next time," he stated and gently kissed the mark where he flicked me. "You should answer more seriously. You sound like a dumb idiot." Then he laughed again. A little b***h. "Tch," I hissed, lightly punching his arm. "If you’d just let me finish my sentence first." "Okay. I apologize for that." I inhaled. "Well, they look like some kinds of innocent kittens, unlike you." He shook his head as he pulled me again in a tight hug. "Hime, you could just be honest and say that we’re too good-looking for us to be this famous?" "Conceited weirdo," I commented since I didn't know what to answer back. "You don't believe me?" "Nah," I retorted, snorting. “‘Cuz you’re an idiot." "What's with the odds?" he said sourly. "You two Chance are both saying the same thing, that I’m a weirdo, then an idiot." "Well, I'm sorry, but you really are, Nate," I sneered with a smug smile. He only huffed and never said a thing. He just removed his embrace on me and both grabbed my cheeks tightly! "Aw!" I abruptly yelped in pain as I held his hands, trying to remove his pinch! "Who's the weirdo and idiot now, huh?" he chuckled evilly. "YOU!" He then tightened the squeeze and I screamed once again! "Doesn’t it hurt, Hime?" "Screw this, Nate!” I cried loudly, pleading him to stop. “Let go of me!" "Well, I’m a weirdo and an idiot.” And now he was laughing over my priceless face! “I won't listen to you." Now I couldn't help it but laugh along with him. "Please! No one is a weirdo! No one is an idiot! Please let go!" "Fine," he let out a heartily laughs and let his hands go. "You're an adorable little strawberry, Hime! You strawberry head!" "Shut up, you ugly. It hurts, alright?" He gave me a boyish grin, "I missed you, Hime." and whispered, pulling me closer. I didn't reply but to willingly let him hug me. "So, you already met them?" he asked while brushing my hair. He was pertaining to the Cold Warriors members.  "Yeah. I first met Chance, the second was Justine and third was Sean." "Okay.” He clipped a nod. "That’s fast." "I don't know the other two." "Ah, those are Yaehl and Kieffer," he answered. "The one who has dimples, it is Yaehl; and Kieffer is the one who has baby blue eyes. So what happened next?" "Hm, I think . . ." I hummed, trying to recall all the happenings in the past few days. And out of my mind . . . "What is the real you?" Those words suddenly appeared. I was getting annoyed just remembering that. "What are you thinking?" My thoughts split up after hearing his words. Once I gazed upon him, a teasing smile was evident on his face. "Is there's something that I didn't know?" "Nothing much." I shrugged. "Liar. I know there is, Hime." "Hm, how can you so sure about that?" "Well," he declared, nuzzling my hair. "It's because you're my twin sister, Hime. And I know that you're lying whenever your nose turns to red." Then he chuckled again. Oh, yes. Nathan was my twin brother. I pouted my lips. "Can't I tell you, Nate?" "Nope," he emphasized the 'p' sound. "Why can't you tell me? Does it all about Chance?" I puffed my cheeks and muffled in a low tone. "Fine. But how did you know that it is all about Chance?" "Remember the racing event last night?" "Yeah . . ?" I replied. "You were the masked guy last night?" "Yup, I was," he answered nonchalantly. "Chance told me that they planned the race last night, with the help of Kuya Ivan." "Kuya Ivan?" I spoke clearly, "The Ivan?" "Yes. Kuya Ivan is our manager." "Oh . . ." I remembered the time when the mysterious person who bumped me last time. So that note came from Kuya Ivan? That was why they knew my location. That answered it. "I observed you that time, Hime,” Nathan prompted again. “You were looking at the Cold Warriors first, and then you turned your gazes on me. I can still imagine your face was so shocked seeing us sitting on the VIP seats." Then he laughed, seemed like he enjoyed teasing me. And yeah, he knew me. "And one more thing," he added. "It's just happened this morning." I gazed at him with a 'what-do-you-mean?' look. "You were looking at him, weren’t you?" And the thought of Chance came first to my mind. "That's why you didn't notice my presence and my gazes on you." Now he was smirking at me. "Guh," I sighed exasperatedly. "Screw you, Nate." Remembering the commotion this morning, it was really the Nathan came back. Since I was near him, I punched his stomach. He howled while scrunching in severe pain. "Do you know how strong you are?!" Nathan complained. “You deserved it for not informing me,” I shot back. “And please stop your drama! As if that punch was really painful for you!” "Whatever," he uttered as he stopped being dramatic, returning from being a poker-faced. “You’re acting too cold to me, Hime.” “That’s for keeping a secret to me." I lazily said, yawning. "I'm sleepy, Nate. I promise I'll tell you everything tomorrow." I heard him sigh, "All right. Do you want me to stay?" "Please." "It's settled then. I'll stay here." I only grinned, closing my eyes. "Goodnight, my Hime," Nate whispered to me soothingly and kissed the temple of my head. "Goodnight, too." It was my response in a sleepy tone. I didn't know what happens next as we both drift to sleep. With Nathan being on my side, I would fall asleep very sweet.   ↭ ♡ ↭ handtheirend
