Forensics arrive

After the first strike with the police, followed by Dr Rainone, De Nicola chose to close the circle with forensics. As a representative of the Scientific Support Department and the expert who had materially recovered physical evidence at the crime scene, Simone Borrelli, a chemist with a masters in fingerprint analysis and biometrics, sat before the Court. De Nicola avoided any preambles and cut straight to the chase.
‘Officer Borrelli, was it you who performed the metric survey at Dr Alvarado’s house?’
