“So, what do you want to talk about?” I asked while crossing my arms on my chest.
“I want to talk about Kevin,” Ciro came to the point without beating around the bush.
“Okay,” I answered in a flat tone and Gabrielle looked a bit uncomfortable. Rico’s eyes were trained on me like he was reading every expression on my face like a book.
“Hacker! I can understand your feelings and protective instincts about Kevin, but believe me, I mean no harm to Kevin. I just want to help my sister with anything, and yes! You are right about your concerns, but I can’t let my sister suffer like this anymore. I saw a ray of hope in the form of Kevin. She never showed any emotion other than fear, sadness, or pain, but today, she almost forgot her pain.” My heart thumped in my chest.
