Abagail’s pov

I got back with Hannah and hoped that Chance would be in his room so I wouldn't have to deal with him, but I'm just not that lucky, I guess. Because as we walked in the door Chance was coming out of the kitchen and Hannah instantly ran up to him. Could she sense he was her father?

"Hey little one where did you come from?"

"My mama duh"

I looked over at Chance dumb founded and just cracked up laughing. Leave it to my daughter to say something like that. I know I should scold her for saying that, but I just couldn’t. I couldn’t stop laughing. She sounded so grown.

"Are you sure she's not yours? She has your award-winning personality."

I almost died until I saw that he was joking with me. It made me stop laughing and just look at him. I wanted to tell him the truth so badly but I just didn’t trust him.

"Ha-ha very funny."

"will you read me my story?"

I could not believe she asked him that since that was my job. I looked over at him pissed because I knew he would say no so he could go to some party and screw any bimbo that would have him.

"Of course, witch book do you have?"

I almost chocked wait he said yes what the hell. Hannah handed him the book and he smiled at her. This is not the Chance I hate who the hell is this guy? What was he up to? A guy like him always had a motive.

"OH, I loved this book when I was a kid. The ugly duckling made me realize at a young age you shouldn't judge a book by its cover right Abby?"

What the hell? What was that supposed to mean and why is he being like this? The Chance I knew hated kids' could barely talk so I hurried to get out a yep before he thought something was up. I did not want him to know that seeing him with Hannah was having an effect on me.

"Ok Hannah lets go sit on the couch and read our story."

She instantly followed him like he was greatest thing on earth. I almost laughed at that because there was a time, I would have followed him like that, but not since that night. Now I looked at him and saw nothing but hatred. How dare he get close to my daughter like that was he just using her to get to me?

Then I remembered he didn't know she was my daughter. He was probably being sweet to her because he loved my aunt so much, she was like a mom to him when his mom was never around. I had to pull myself together before he caught on that something was wrong.

I needed something other than my daughter to distract me from this man. I needed to find me a new boyfriend then he would defiantly get the hint that I never want him again. But who could I date I know there were lots of boys that wanted to date me now that I was single so I guess I should just pick one and make it believable.

Good thing we have school tomorrow my boyfriend quest will start then. I looked over at him and Hannah and saw that she was fast asleep in his arms and he was about to fall asleep himself. I grabbed Hannah and was about to climb the stairs to my room when I heard Chance say "I love you Abby" I almost died I looked over at him and sure enough he was still sleeping.

I hurried with Hannah to my room and locked the door. There was no way he meant that. He couldn't love me. Not after what he did to me. I mean you don't leave the person you love. You especially don't take their virginity and then never speak to them again. What the hell is going on? I need a new boyfriend and I need one fast before I fall victim to Chance's charm once again.
