Sidetracked

The Twins sprinted away to get to Teri as Apollo went off to try and rescue Sophia. The creature tried to bite off Teri's face, but she quickly grabbed a nearby stick just inches away from her and whacked it across it's face and in that moment she tried to scoot out underneath it. That also gave the Twins enough time to get close enough and tried to wrestle the creature to the ground. The both of them weren't strong enough to take it down, but it gave Teri enough time to retreat to a safe distance. The Shadovian shook off the Twins and stumbled to regain it's footing. The Twins stood back with Teri as they prepared for another attack. Suddenly, from the corner of Teri's vision she spotted the river just near the falls. And began to hatch a plan. "Here." Teri handed the large stick to the Twins as she quickly rushed over to the river. The Twins didn't understand what she was going to do, but decided to defend her anyway for whatever idea she had. Fleetfoot took the stick in hand and Flyboy prepared his own actions. The creature roared as it stared at both of the Twins, deciding which one to go first. It reeled around and screeched as it began to charge directly at them. Just before the creature was able to grab them, a wave of water suddenly rushed over the Twins heads and engulfed the Shadovian in seconds. The Twins looked back to see Teri waving her arms in the air, directing the water at the creature. She groaned as she tried to concentrate all her power on the Shadovian. It struggled to escape. With one final hand motion, Teri was able to pull the Shadovian into the river. Its cries were quickly drowned out as they watched the terrible black mass go over the falls. Teri finally let go and slumped to the ground. The Twins rushed over to her. "Teri, are you okay?" "Yeah, it's alright. I'm alright." Teri breathed heavily. "Wait, what about Sophia and Apollo?" "Oh no..." the Twins almost forgot about them during the fight. They looked off into the trees where they saw them get dragged off, but didn't hear anything from within. They called out to them, but got no response. They began to panic and they all ran off into the trees to go after them. They hoped they weren't too late.
