Chapter 7

647 Words
Jaxson's POV The past 4 days have been a whirlwind of emotion. On one hand, I'm so excited I found my mate, but worried because she hasn't woke up yet. Dr Gratiot assures me it's normal due to her condition, and I trust his option. I just want her to wake up so I can see those beautiful blue eyes again. I took a leave of absence from the office, I mean, it's not out the the ordinary. I hardly go in to the office unless it's necessary. One of the perks of being CEO, but with pack business to handle and now my mate and her health, I didn't need or want anything else to worry about. I just wish she'd wake up already. As of sensing my thoughts, she started to stir. I grabbed her hand and instantly felt the sparks and electricity shoot through my body. I'll never get tired of this feeling. I felt it that night in the woods too, when I carried her in my arms to the hospital. I was just too concerned with her surviving to really notice. "Hey, hi." I say softly to her as she's opening her eyes, and getting them adjusted to the light. "Ugh". Was the only sound she made as she closed her eyes shut tightly, reaching her hand up to hold her head. Thankfully, her other hand is still in mine. "Hey, you hit your head pretty hard. How do you feel?" I ask. Really?! This is all I can think to say to just? I guess I just don't want to overwhelm her or frighten her. "Wh--, where am I?" she asked in a broken whisper. "Your at my pack hospital." I answered her. "Pack?" "Yes, your at Blue Moon Pack. I'm Alpha Jaxson McKenna." She didn't say anything, just closed her eyes again. When she looked at me again, by breath caught in my throat. Her eyes are so beautifully blue, I could actually get lost staring in them. She just looks back at me, all her questions I can tell running through her head. "You. Your the wolf you helped me with that rouge last night, aren't you? "Yes,honey I am the wolf who help you, but sweetheart, that was 4 days ago. Not last night." Her eyes shot open with a jump. "WHAT?! 4 days ago?!" She asked frantically. She tries to sit up and get out of the bed,but I place my hands on her shoulders to stop her. " Hey, whoa. Slow down sweetheart. You shouldn't be getting up yet." I say to her. What has her so frantic? I don't like seeing that look of fear on her face. " You don't understand..." she stated, " He going to come looking for me. I can't stay here, he'll find me!" That one statement brought all kinds of anger to the surface. The thought that someone was after my mate, and meant her harm, I'll kill whoever it was. "Who's after you?" I ask her. She just stopped at looked at me. She looked like she was debating if she could trust me or not. She had to be feeling the mate bond, that instant pull towards each other. "I need a computer" She suddenly stated. What an odd request. I can't imagine what using a computer right would do, but she looked desperate, and I would do anything to help her and make her feel safe. "Um, ok. Ok, let me go see if I can find you one" I say to get as I head towards the door. I look at her for another second, panic still sitting on her face. Whoever is after her, just messed with the wrong person. Nobody is laying a hand on my beautiful mate. And with that resolve in my mind, I left that room to find her a computer.
