Chapter 21

When I walk into my office, Rachel is sitting on a chair, wrapped up in a blanket, crying with her head down. Kip and Ben are standing behind her.

I don't say anything as I sit in my chair. Rachel looks at me, her eyes are pleading with me to believe her.

"Alpha," Rachel started.

"I have not given you permission to speak yet" I say to her. "What made you think you had any right to attack your Luna?"

"I didn't..." she started again.I'm too angry to sit here and be lied to.

"Do not lie to me, Rachel. I promise you, if you say another lie to me again, the punishment will be severe." I tell her.

She whimpers again and starts crying more.

"Why did you attack Bailey?" I asked her again, to give her another chance. When she doesn't respond, I give her one last chance. "You do realize that attacking your Luna, is punishable by death don't you?"

Her eyes look up at me really big. Then she starts talking.

"I didn't mean to attack her. It was my wolf. Bailey made me mad with the things she was saying, and my wolf took over. Honestly Ja..Alpha, I didn't mean to hurt her."

"So you are telling me, you have no control over your wolf?" I ask, trying to trap her. If she confesses she can't control her wolf, I can charge her as a rouge too.

"No, I'm not saying that. I'm just saying She caught me at a bad moment."

"This isn't the first time, you've had an issue with you Luna,is it" I say to her, to let her know that I know.

She looked at me as if she's trying to figure out how much I know.

"Well, there was a misunderstanding when she first got here, but I swear, I'm innocent. I was only trying to welcome Bailey...."

"She is your Luna, and you will show her the proper respect." I growl at her, losing my patience. It's bad enough that Rachel insists on lying to me. I'm not going to sit here and have my mate be talked about as if she were just another member of the pack.

Ben looks like he wants to take a piece of of Rachel as well. He's holding together pretty well as he had to listen to this lie about his sister.

"I'm sorry." Rachel continued her story, "Luna, had just arrived here and was in the gym. I just wanted to go and introduce myself and welcome her, but she was with the Beta female and Gamma female, who made rude comments to me and then Luna joined them, so I defended myself."

"Kip?" I ask him, knowing he's just dying to talk.

"Yes, Alpha?"

"Please tell me what you witnessed that day in the gym." I say,as I keep my eyes on Rachel. She looks panicked. That's right, liar, your jig is up.

"I had overheard Rachel and her friend Stacey insulting the Luna. I stopped them,and warned that if anything happened again, they would have kitchen duty for a month." Kip said.

"Insulting the Luna?" I say, still staring at Rachel.

"You don't understand, Beta came after I started to defend myself. I tried to explain to him, but he didn't listen."

She's going to take this all the way through I guess. Very well, two can play that game.

I mind link for Hannah, Maddie, and Stacey to come in here.

After they all arrived, I asked each of them their side. Maddie and Hannah's side matched up with Kip and Bailey's, as I knew it would. I then turn to Stacey.

"Stacey, what is your take on that day in the gym?" I ask her.

She's very quiet, looking at me and then Rachel. Rachel seems to be giving her a look telling her not to talk, and Stacey looks afraid to speak,as she looks at everyone in the room.

She looks at Rachel one more time, before speaking. "That day....we...well.."

"I'll remind you, Stacey, that lying to me will have serious repercussions." I warn her.

"Rachel was upset that you had found your mate, and spending so much time with her. She wanted to make Luna feel uncomfortable, and thought because of how weak she was when she first got here, that she could scare her off." Stacey confessed.

Rachel was glaring daggers at Stacey.

I'm furious right now. She wanted to make my mate reject and leave me? It could of worked to. Bailey thought there was something between Rachel and I, which is only making me more angry.

I take a deep breath to control my wolf. After a second, I speak.

"Maddie and Hannah, you are dismissed." I say as I wave my hand to them. They quietly leave the room.

"Stacey, Thank you for your honesty, but I can't excuse your part in this. You are an accomplice in an attempt to make your Luna leave the pack. Therefore, your punishment is two months janitorial duties. I will assign you the omegas who will be in charge of you. Their report of you will determine if I need to take any further actions.In the meantime, you will not treat or talk to your Luna in any way that is threatening or disrespectful. Am I understood?"

"Yes, thank you Alpha." she says to me as she's crying. I can tell she's relieved with her punishment. I could of banned her from the pack.

"You are dismissed." I tell her,and turn my attention to Rachel. She looks scared and pissed of at the same time.

"Rachel..." I started.

"You aren't even going to let me defend myself?" she interrupts.

"I gave you plenty of chances to talk. You choose to lie to me." I reminded her.

"After everything we've been through Jax, this is how it's going to be? Your going to believe everyone else over me?"

"What have we been through together? Rachel, there's nothing between us. There never has been." I say to her. I think she's gone crazy.

"You were suppose to make me Luna. You love me!" She shouts at me.

"What are you talking about? I never gave you any reason..."

"Yes you did! You told me that I was special to you." She says.

"When did I ever say that?" I ask her.

"When we were pups. I was really upset because some of the boys in class were teasing me. You told them to stop it and then told me that I was special to you! You love me!!"

Yep, she's crazy. I didn't even remember what she was talking about. If it even happened at all.

"Rachel, I don't even know what to say. You've taken something that happened when we were pups, and turned it into some fantasy that you want it to be."

"That's not true!! You love me, your only trapped with her because of the mate bond. You haven't even marked her yet, and she's been here over a month!" Rachel screams.

I'm not about to discuss my personal life with this crazy woman. Even though she's pissing me off, its none of her business what's going on between me and Bailey.

"THAT'S ENOUGH!" I boom in my Alpha voice."I'm not going through this with you anymore."

Rachel sinks in her chair, sobbing.

"You have disrespected and attacked your Luna. You have threatened and bullied her, then lied to me about it. Therefore, I, Jaxson McKenna, Alpha of the Blue Moon pack, reject you , Rachel Smith, as a member."

" No you can't do this to me. I belong here. My family is here." She pleads.

I look behind her at Kip and Ben, who've been waiting for me to give them an order.

"Ben, Kip, you will escort Rachel to her place and let her pack."

"Yes, Alpha." they say in unison.

"Rachel, you are still allowed to come and visit your family, when you go through the proper channels and announce your arrival. You are never too be on pack lands unannounced. You are dismissed." I say to her.

As Kip stands her up to leave, she breaks free from his hold and runs to me, dropping her blanket and wrapping her legs around my waist. She smashed her lips onto mine, as my office door opened and I see Bailey standing in the door way.
