My heart is beating loudly in my chest as I held crystal close. I can't get over the body on the ground, and the pool of blood surrounding it.
"Cain!" I call again, even though I knew he was just as confused as I am.
The rest of the children must be hidden somewhere in this building , probably where crystal had hidden before. Either that or they've found a way out of this building.
Even though I have no business left in this human world, I still don't want Miles Moretti finding out who I truly am.
"Are we gonna die mommy?" Crystal asks me, her face smeared on my dress.
Reaching a hand over her hair to ruffle gently, I give her a gentle smile amongst the chaos around us and replied "no sweetie. We're getting out okay? Daddy's gonna get us out."
