I stood there, watching Miraelle with narrowed eyes.
She had just said something that sounded completely ridiculous, and I wasn’t about to fall for it.
"The Woods of Truth can reach out to people from the past," she said, her voice serious.
I couldn’t help it. I burst out laughing. "Do you think I believe you? You just want to put me in trouble like you always do, Miraelle."
Miraelle frowned, clearly not expecting my reaction. "I’m serious, Rose. I’m not making this up."
I shook my head, still chuckling. "Right. So now the woods can talk to the dead? Do you even hear how that sounds?"
"Yes, I do!" Miraelle insisted, taking a step closer. "But it’s true. There’s a way to reach out to Alpha Kanen’s late parents, and they can help stop this war. You have to believe me."
