As I walked away from the café, my mind spun with thoughts of Maddie and the plan we had crafted. I couldn’t believe she was actually willing to help me. Well, not me exactly…she made it very clear she was doing it for Layla’s sake, not mine. But that didn’t matter. All that mattered was that I now had a way to open Layla’s eyes to the truth. And once she saw it, she would finally let go of Logan. I needed this to work. I needed Layla out of the way for good.
