A few minutes after that meeting, Le and I went home. It was official that Alpha Arkene will be the appointed Alpha for as long as Duke isn’t around. An official and formal gathering will be held for him tonight as we welcome him. I don’t know if I would attend that event but I do think that I should in order to support the pack and their decision.
“I don’t like the flow of this, Xe,” Le said.
“We had no choice,” I said. “Let’s just take this as a way to help the pack,”
“Yeah,” He said. “Let’s just take of it that way.”
“Anyway, are we going to that event later?” I said.
“We must,” He said. “We need to let them see that we are supporting them.”
“Yeah, that’s what I thought so too,” I said. “Well, I have to get to my room. I’ll just call you and mom so we can go there together later.”
