Against Time and the Universe

It was already 11:47 pm and they still have class tomorrow. Hiro folded his laptop and fixed his things ready. In trance, he found himself walking to his window. The day had been awfully boring for the young lad. He did nothing but sleep, eat, and play alone. He doesn’t have much friends to come around heck, he doesn’t even have a friend at all. Aside from being a genius, Hiro was a typical teenage boy with a stern and cold aura. Being introverted, he really enjoys solitude. Just across the street, the only light lit was in Hina’s room. Shirogane Hina, the boy smirked at the thought of the girl’s name. With her long black silky hair with lockes of curly hair by the ends, soft round eyes with perfectly curled lashes, rosy cheeks, and porcelain skin, she was certainly qualified to be a goddess. Hiro,  on the other hand, isn’t that bad at all. He has a finely chiseled face, alluring eyes, well-shaped jaw, and a trim built body. Hina was the only person  intrepid enough to talk and  meddle with him. They used to be close childhood friends but as the years went, they both found theirselves growing apart.  Hiro sighed at the idea and he lifted his head to witness the night sky. Guess we’re going to have a full moon tomorrow. He thought to himself as he found the satellite in its waxing gibbous stage. Just as he was about to retreat to his bed, he saw the light from Hina’s room go off and the young lady emerged from her room to her balcony, completely visible to Hiro. Guess we’re going to have a full moon tomorrow on my birthday!  Hina’s thoughts were filled with excitement though it is quite a bummer that her birthday just happens to be a Monday. She stared deeply into the stars, admiring the glittering blanket of space above her. Hiro on the other hand is admiring rather a different view. She’s so beautiful.                                               He has always been in love with her. For 9 whole years he managed to conceal his feelings although most of the time his heart would skip a beat or two at her presence, he’d never show. It has always been like this, with him only admiring her from a distance without her knowing.  They stayed like that for a while, with her gazing at the night sky and him,  staring at the beaut. Several minutes have passed and  Hina have already felt the desire to sleep. Hiro, seemingly like a stalker, have noticed the girl’s drowsiness. 12:00 AM! Flashed in both of their clocks. Before tucking herself in,  Hina took one last look of the sky and uttered in the silence, Happy Birthday to me! Happy Birthday Hina-san.  Just across the street, Hiro with the last same thought, slipped into his dreams.
