5. Liliana

The night duelled so fast, even though Sebastian was giving me the night off, he changed his mind as he thought it would keep everyone else occupied while he and some of his workers did what they needed to do. The bar was getting pretty full tonight, I made my way to the stage where everything was set up for me to perform. Could I do it tonight? I managed to not let Hughes know what happened between my father and me. My palms were sweaty as I made my way to the microphone, grabbing it with one hand, "Evening everyone, tonight I'll be singing something a bit different. This is to everyone who has been cheated on or hurt by someone they thought they could trust." The music began to play behind me, as the first song I had picked was one of my favourites from Carrie Underwood Before He Cheats. I wished I could do the damage that is mentioned in this song. As I was halfway through the song, I saw a familiar face in the crowd. Thomas. Ignoring his looks, I continued to sing before alerting the guards near the stage about Thomas in the crowd, he hurt me. He doesn't get to say he is sorry. The crowd was cheering along and some even sang, once I finished, the patrons were clapping. Thomas tried to get passed the guards but they seemed to have stopped him for now, which was good. Considering I didn't want anything to do with him. "I would also like to say that the Mr Knight has put a 30% discount on some drinks and bat food. Please head over to the bar when you are ready to order. I will be coming back soon with another song, soon," I replied. I made my way to the bar and dipped behind it, grabbing myself a shot of whiskey and downing it within a split second, not flinching at the burn. "Please, Liliana. I love you." Thomas made his way towards me, he managed to get through the guards. Shaking my head, I began to walk to the staff room, where I felt him grab a hold of my hand, turning me towards him, instantly I pushed him away. I forbid him from ever touching me again. "Please listen... I didn't mean to hurt you." "You're such a f*****g liar!" I scream at him, my voice cracking as I try to control my anger. "You said you'd never do this to me! You said you loved me!" His eyes widen in shock, tears streaming down his face as he backs into a wall and falls to his knees, begging me not to leave him.I look down at him, his face red, eyes glassy, and his chest heaving as he tries to catch his breath. "I M SORRY, I DIDN'T MEAN TO LIE TO YOU," he stammers, grabbing my wrists and shaking me to make me stop my tirade. "I didn't think you'd find out. I'm sorry, I didn't think this would happen." "You're sorry? Sorry doesn get you out of bed in the morning and make you go to work. How could i not find out when you f****d my sister in her bed." My words are harsh, but I can't help being angry. How could he do this to me? How could he lie to me? And f**k her? I feel tears streaming down my face as I stare at him, my heart breaking as I realize what I had believed was true was a lie. He had been playing me all along. What a bastard. I shove my hands into his face, my fingers puncturing his skin, and force him to look at me.His eyes are big and terrified as he looks into my eyes, his face twisting in pain as my nails dig into his skin. I back away from him, my back pressing into the wall behind me, and take a deep breath, steadying myself. I need to cool down before I do something stupid. "Now get up off your sorry ass and leave. I do not want to see you, nor do I want to hear from you again. What we had is over and you can f**k my sister all I care. Because I know that there is someone out there who will love me for me." That someone was Sebastian, I knew it. I felt it as soon as his lips touched mine last night. Thomas threw his head down and stood up from the ground. "If you ever come near me again, I will get someone to cut your bulls off and feed them to you. Do you hear me?" I was harsh now, but I had to be. Thomas nodded his head, leaving in shame that I didn't take him back. I felt a hand press onto the small of my back, looking up I saw Sebastian. "I thought for a second there I would have had to chime in, I'm proud of you Liliana. I heard you singing while i was working the truck with Deigo. It was beautiful," Sebastian smirked. "I don't even know why he came here and tried to get me back. I'm not as pathetic as him," I muttered. Sebastian chuckled, "That you aren't baby," I felt his lips brush against mine once he pulled my face up to meet his. He bent down, his lips against my cheek, brushing it lightly—and still that light touch sent shivers through my nerves, shivers that made my whole body tremble. "If you want me to stop, tell me now," he whispered. When I still said nothing, he brushed his mouth against the hollow of my temple. "Or now." He traced the line of my cheekbone. "Or now." His lips were against mine. "Or—" But I had reached up and pulled Sebastian down to me, and the rest of his words were lost against my mouth. He kissed me gently, carefully, but it wasn’t gentleness I wanted, not now, not after all this time, and I knotted my fists in his shirt, pulling him harder against ne. Sebastian groaned softly, low in his throat, and then his arms circled mine, gathering me against him, and we contuined to kiss each other for the next 5 minutes.
