A Single Mom’s Rollercoaster

“s**t s**t shit.. I’m so late for class!” Cassi kept cursing as she rushes to get her Daughter Zavia ready so they can leave the house. Cassi is 18 years old with a gorgeous chubby 7 month baby girl named Zavia. Cassi and Zavia’s father Ashton have not been able to see eye to eye for the last couple months since she began collage. Ashton believe that Cassi thinks she’s better than him since she has started collage and has been pressuring her so she moved back home with her mother and siblings. Things aren’t perfect but she’s trying to make things work. She continues rushing around the house pulling clothes and pampers into Zavia’s diaper bag. After 15 minutes they are finally able to lock up and leave the house. Running down the hill she begins cursing their luck of living almost at the very top of the mountain. 10 minutes later after arriving at the bottom they stand and wait praying that a bus will come so that she can atleast get to class before it ends. 20 minutes later she had finally dropped Zavia off at daycare and is walking into her accounts class half an hour late. Her professor gives her a disapproving stare as she walks to the last seat next to the playboy Jason. She pays him no mind as he continues to stare at her for the remaining of class. Jason was one of the sexiest guys at school. Slim built, dark chocolate in complexion and a panty dropping smile, however since knowing him in high school he was a MAJOR player! She has always had a crush on him but she was the romantic type of girl that believes in love and would rather be his only girl and not one of them so she stayed clear and started dating Ashton. Ashton made her feel special and loved since she didn’t feel loved by her family. Her parents was constantly arguing and her father the only parent that sort of understood her left her and her siblings with their mother who seem to never have love in her Heart for them. 9 months ago Cassi found out that she was pregnant with Ashton’s baby and her parents was livid with her. They have completely disowned her and kicked her out of the house. She moved in with Ashton and his family. They didn’t realize how far along Cassi was pregnant since she had always had an imbalanced period so 2 months after realizing she’s pregnant Cassi went into labor and after 4 hours of agonizing pain and 3 hours of surgery Zavia finally came out spitting image of her late grandmother (Ashton’s mother). The last couple months have been really difficult finding a job with just a high school certificate was hard and she had to depend of Ashton and his family for all their basic needs. Ashton began resenting her for getting pregnant and not working. He stopped giving her money to get stuff for herself and the baby and starting drinking and doing drugs more. After months of torture she finally reached out to her family and they took her back home with one condition of going collage. And that’s how she’s here now sitting at the back of her class trying to drown out Jason’s antics and focus on their professor. After another half an hour class was finally dismissed and they move to the next class. She quickly found a seat next to her friends while Jason went with his new flavor of the month. She gave him a look of disgust when he passed by her table winking at her. ONE WEEK LATER Aston called my phone “ you’re a f*****g w***e Cassi! Have your f*****g man coming to ambush me infront of everybody!!!!!!! I f*****g hate you!!! Don’t have your f*****g man around my daughter or else you will regret it!” Cassi gave a confuse look to her phone wondering what the hell Ashton was screaming at her about. Before she can say anything Ashton hang up the phone. The next day at class Jason came and sat next to her and said “ I beat the s**t out of your baby daddy yesterday, did her tell you I left him crying like a little p***y!” Cassi began laughing hysterically and said “ so that’s why he called cursing last night!” She snickered “Why on earth would he think that you’re my man doh?” Jason shrugs his shoulders and went back to laughing at their fight with his friends. Cassi shook her head and went back to reviewing her notes for their upcoming exams . 1 year later Cassi and Ashton finally called it quits on their back and forth relationship and she was in her second year of collage. Cassi decided to try her luck in finding a job to help take care of herself and her daughter. 3 weeks later she finally found a part time job although she will have to miss her last class everyday in order to reach to work on time she was elated that she can have some form of independence! Things have been going great for her! She was excelling in her classes and was still able to provide little necessities for both her daughter and herself. Ashton seem to have moved on and started seeing someone that was 15 years older than they are and Jason finally settle down and started dating one of her high friends. Unknowing to Cassi she was yet again pregnant with Ashton’s baby before they had officially broken up and 5 months later she gave birth to a handsome baby Zion. Cassi had dropped out of collage and started looking for a job as soon as Zion was old enough to attend daycare. She landed a job at a newly built hotel as a waitress and started her long difficult journey.
