Betrayed

Chapter Seven

I had fallen asleep in the couch after crying for almost an hour. i heard Jade walk in as i sat up on the couch pullin my phone out to check the time, it was only 5pm. i stood up from the couch in the living room,'' hey'', i called out as i went to greet him,he stood by the door with his phone to his ear busyly talking to some one on the othe side, i starred at him , his hair ruffled up eyes focused on nothing exactly, the sleeve of his shirt rolled up revealing toned arms, i stood admiring his handsome features without realising he had turned to face me i was lost in thouhgt that i didn't notice when he stood right in front of me starring intensly at my face,'' Audeia'', he called me. my eyes moved from his lips to his eyes, eyes that were focused on me now. i cleared my throat thinking if he caught me starring'' mmm'' i answered him,'' are you okay?''. he asked starring at my face the phone no longer at his ears,'' yeah.... yeah I'm good. I'm fine. how about you, how are you?'' i asked trying to shift the attention from me,'' I'm okay just a bit tired from work''. he told me.

'' why are you back so early its only 5''.

'' i seetled everything early today so i could get home early and have dinner. i didn't want to leave you alone here''.

'' you didn't need to and besides i didn't make anything i didn't expect you to come back so early''. i said with a small smile.

''don't worry about that''. he smiled at me kindly.

'' you still didn't have to leave your work for me''.

he ruffled my hair,'' you don't have to worry about me or my work okay''. '' fine but you don't have worry about me too. and I'm not a little girl Jayden''. i laughed taken his hand off my head. he laughed and it sounded so melodical and contagoius it made me laugh too i had never heard laugh before. we settled down walking into the living room, he plopped into the couch and i followed suit,'' so what are we having for dinner'' . i asked him.'' how about i suprise you huh?''. '' I'm not a fan of suprises''. i told him.'' trust me you'd like this one''. he winked at me making my face heat up. i looked away from him trying to avoid his gaze,'' fine'', i said shy still looking away from him. '' i didn't know any thing about the divorce Audeia, i did know about Beth and the boy and I'm sorry for telling you sooner.... i just felt i was not my place to interfer and Nathan.......''. he lat out a breath before adding,'' I'm sorry''.i felt his eyes on me he was waiting for me to say something but there was nothing to say i couldn't say any thing then he stood up and walked to the bed room leaving me alone. he felt bad about it and he apologized but i just sat here without saying a word to him, he had done a lot for me he explained to me his reason at least i had to tell him some thing. i got out of my seat and followed him to the bed room,'' jayden.....'' was the only thing that came out of my mouth when i walked in on him half naked, chest exposed under the lights, i stood there starring at his chest, his abs and arms.my lingered on them for a long time the only thought hat run through my mind was his arms around me i choked at the thought coughing out catching his attention he turned to me. i cleared my throat'' Jayden,i ...... its not your fault'', i said looking staright into his eyes. my eyes wanting to wonder to the other parts of his body but i fought back the urge,'' it's not your fault Nathan is a cheat and a coward that doesn't deserve any love. you should blame yourself for what he did, you're a better person than he could ever be'' . i said starring intensly at him. we were silent for a couple of minutes before he chuckled a smile ever so presnt on his face.'' you should get ready for dinner Audeia''.
