Chapter 6: "The Unexpected Visitor"

Kampala, Uganda. 2005.

Mr. Kaggwa opened the door, and Kofi and Akua saw a tall, imposing figure standing in the doorway. He was dressed in a crisp, white suit, and his eyes seemed to bore into Kofi's soul.

"Ah, Mr. Okello," Mr. Kaggwa said, his voice neutral. "What brings you here today?"

Mr. Okello's eyes scanned the room, and Kofi could sense a flicker of surprise when he saw Kofi and Akua.

"Ah, I see you have some...guests," Mr. Okello said, his voice dripping with sarcasm.

Mr. Kaggwa nodded. "Yes, I've taken in a couple of street children. They're just passing through."

Mr. Okello's eyes narrowed. "I see," he said. "Well, I won't keep you. I just needed to...discuss some business with you, Mr. Kaggwa."

Kofi's instincts were screaming at him to be careful. There was something about Mr. Okello that didn't seem right.

As Mr. Okello and Mr. Kaggwa stepped aside to talk, Kofi leaned over to Akua.

"What's going on?" he whispered.

Akua's eyes were wide with fear. "I don't know," she whispered back. "But I don't like it."

Kofi nodded in agreement. He didn't like it either.

As they watched, Mr. Okello's expression grew more and more menacing. Kofi could sense the tension building in the room, and he knew that something was about to go terribly wrong.

And then, just as Mr. Okello was about to leave, he turned to Kofi and Akua.

"You two," he said, his voice dripping with malice. "I think we're going to have a little...chat."

Kofi's heart sank as Mr. Okello's eyes seemed to bore into his soul. He knew that they were in grave danger, and he didn't know how they were going to escape.
