Sightings

Dad left yesterday morning but he decided he loved our small town (and my mom) so he found him a place to rent here in Abbot. He is also dating mom again which I'm ecstatic about, but I also feel sorry for the Sheriff. I can't wait for everyone to get here so we can get our girls day started! I'm so excited! I'm still amazed that I'm going to be marrying such a beautiful man whose got a heart of gold. I know I'm getting mushy and girly but this proposal has brought it out in me. Here is the funny part of this whole wedding who's paying what fiasco the adults have decided to split it three ways and since dad can't be here to pay for it he gave me his credit card. Can you believe it! Me not mom but me. Ok let me get back on track anyway dad is paying for a part, mom is paying for part and Lilith is paying for a part. Yep, they decided to split it three ways to make it cheaper on everyone and also so they could all have a hand in the wedding. Crazy parents right?  But it is sweet of them to give me this big beautiful wedding.                                                                                                   Blessed Be,                                                                                                      Mohani When I wake up Saturday morning I'm ready to get this day started I love having a girl day mom and I used to once a month when we lived in Portland but haven't been able to since we moved here. I throw on a cute little dress and a pair of my booties next I head to the bathroom to put on my makeup and brush my hair. Mom is already in the kitchen drinking her coffee when I come in to get myself a cup "You look pretty this morning." She complimented me. " But are you sure you need caffeine you look like you're already hyped up as it is," "I know but just on the safe side I think I'll have at least one cup, you do realize this coffee addiction is your fault," I laugh. "It's just one of the other things that has been passed down through the generations," My soon-to-be mother-in-law shows up with Cassie, Lilly, and Karley coming up the steps behind her "Hey guys did you all come together," I ask. "No just a funny coincidence," Lilith explains. I invited them all in so mom and I could finish getting ready. We end up taking Lilith's SUV because it had the most room for all of us ladies plus everything we were going to buy that day. We made our way to Terry Costa in Fort Worth which was only a little over an hour away. All three of my bridesmaids loved the dress I picked out and when they tried them on the seamstress took their sizes for the alterations which she said was going to be free since we were going to be paying for them today so all we would have to do is pick them up. Then mom and Lilith did a little modeling for us in the dresses they liked for mom we chose a long purple silk dress with beaded straps that are detachable it also has a sweetheart bodice and shirred bodice. "I know dad will love it when he sees it on her," I whisper to my friends. Picking one for Lilith went a little bit easier we knew her style as opposed to mom's we chose a sleeveless royal blue chiffon knee length dress with beading only on the right shoulder. Since we had the bridesmaids and the mothers done I tried on the dress that I chose last night to my relief it fit perfectly no alterations were needed it was like it was made just for me. After we chose our dresses and paid for them we headed to the Tuxedo Outlet to pick out the tuxes for our guys which easy enough. We were all getting hungry by the time we finished with the clothes we decided to stop at the Olive Garden for some lunch before we hit a shoe store. As we were driving along I could have sworn that I saw Caylan walking down the street but I just tell myself it was probably someone who looked like her. We enjoy our food then head off to the mall to see if we can find the next most important thing besides the dresses were going to be wearing our heels. How six ladies get kicked out of a shoe store for modeling heels is beyond me then again it might have been the laughter that did it. Eventually, in another store, we found our heels for the wedding and we head home. When we stop to put gas in the SUV I thought I saw Caylan again but this time I wasn't the only one Cassie was standing beside me when she waved at us with an evil smile on her face I turn to Cas as said. "This time I won't give her any mercy," "What do you mean this was the first time we've seen her," Cassie says. "No it's not I saw her before we went in the restaurant, then again at the mall, I think she has been following us all day," I advise. "Well, as long as she stays out of Abbott it will be ok," Cassie tries to sound optimistic but I can tell she's worried about her too.  The next day Dylan and I are out just walking around town since it was a nice autumn day when he gives me a weird look and says. "I think I'm seeing things," "What did you think you saw a giant ice cream cone," I laugh. "Hey that was just in a dream, but no I thought I just saw Caylan, I think I need my eyes checked., He chuckles then rubs his eyes. "I don't think your seeing things when we went shopping yesterday Cas and I saw her she even had the nerve to wave while we were getting gas," I divulge. "Really, but you warned her that there would be hell to pay if she didn't leave," "I know, come on we better head back home and tell our moms," I suggest. We head back to my house to tell mom about Caylan thankfully when we get to my house Lilith's car is in the driveway so we only had to tell our story once. But as we come in we heard Lilith mentioning to mom that she had seen Caylan. "We did to just now also Cas and I saw her yesterday I thought she might have been following us so when we saw her at the gas station my hunch was right she waved and smiled at us," I chime in. "So do you know why she's back," Lilith asks? "No I haven't been paying much attention to her, since that night, I figured she would have headed my warning, but I guess not and now it's time for me to finish what I started." I sigh as I sit down on the couch beside my mom. "I was hoping all of this was over and I could start living a normal life again," "Well, I do have some good news for you Blaine called and said that he was coming home for a couple of days," Mom said cheerfully. "That's awesome," Dylan cheered. "I get my boy back," "That doesn't mean you get to have your bachelor party yet," I laughed. Lilith chimed in. "Nope traditionally that doesn't happen until the day before the wedding, but since he will be here we can have an engagement party how's that," "As long as it's not one of your fancy parties mom, something that blends with Kiera's and my taste," Dylan said. "I like your mom's fancy parties it gives me a reason to get dressed up," I quipped. Lilith just looks at Dylan who is awe-struck and laughs at his reaction.   We tell our Coven to keep an eye on Caylan so we can keep track of her every move and to also keep us informed if she hurts anyone. So for days, we all follow her around letting each other know where's she has been and what she is doing. I even read her thought's but there is never anything mean or threatening she just thinks about normal things. She got a job at the supermarket as a cashier even living in the same has as before. She hasn't even said a bad word to anyone in town let alone us so I had no idea what she was up to all I knew is that my dad was supposed to arrive tomorrow and Blaine on Friday. I was so happy when dad showed up the early next morning before I left for school so we could have breakfast together at the café. We sat there talking about the wedding, and how I was going to help him decorate his house when Caylan walks in, I don't think I've ever seen my dad's face go as white as it did that instant. "Hi, guys," She says as she walked to the counter. "Come on let's go," Dad growled as he got up from our little table. I followed him out to his car where he continued to fume. "What the hell is she doing back here I thought she was supposed to be gone," "She just showed up a few days ago, but don't worry we got it under control," I said calmly hoping it would calm him down. "We who's we," He asked. "The whole coven dad were all worried she's back so there's at least one of us keeping an eye on her on top of that I'm tapped into her head twenty-four seven now," I explain. "And now that you're here you can help," That seemed to calm him down a little knowing he was here to help protect mom and I. "Ok I gotta head to school and you go let mom know your in town she's doing desk duty today at the station," I suggest. I give him a kiss on the cheek and head to school where I meet up with my little g**g and tell them how my morning has gone so far. "I don't know how you keep from going crazy I wouldn't have any hair left on my head," Cassie replies. "I don't either, I'm surprised I'm not smoking yet," I laugh. "Please don't become one cigarette smoke just stinks up everything," Dylan pleads. "No need to worry about that I prefer to smell nice," I chuckle. We sit and talk about all the other plans we made for our Halloween party that's coming up in a couple of weeks but our conversation keeps going back to why Caylan is back in town. When school lets out Dylan follows me over to my dad's house so he can help him move some of the heavy furniture. Except we didn't just find dad there we found mom and a couple of her cop friends. "Mom what's wrong is dad ok," I yell as I get out of the car. "He's fine he just fell is all, but he is ok," She explained. "Then why are your buddies here," I cried out. "Hunny calm down it's just protocol, I can't make the report since I'm his emergency contact," Mom explained. "I'm sorry I forgot I thought Caylan hurt him again," I apologized. "Hey it's ok from what's happened I would be worried if you didn't worry about him." Mom said consoling me. "Hey, Dylan why don't you take her home and I'll drive the car back." "Yes ma'am, come on babe he'll be fine," Dylan said soothingly as he helped me to his pickup. We worked on our homework then Dylan helped me make supper. When we were almost finished dad came through the front door on crutches followed by mom. "Oh my god dad are you ok what did the doctors say," I exclaimed. "Calm down Kiera," Dad says plopping down on the couch. "It's just a sprain I gotta stay off my foot for a couple of days, who knew a ladder could kick your butt," "Yea they are pretty mean when you're standing on them," Dylan laughs as he places a pillow on the coffee table so dad could prop up his foot. Dad chuckles at him. "Yea they don't really like that do they," Dylan and I finish up with supper and I bring dad a plate while Dylan brings mom hers so she can eat with dad in the living room while Dylan and I sit at the kitchen table. Mom and I clean up while we let the guys hang out and play some video games with each other after that we head outside to tend to the herb and vegetable gardens it's amazing how relaxing it is just pulling a w**d from around the vegetables that I decide to do the flower gardens as well. A little while later mom brings me out some herbal tea and we sit out on the back porch and relax until the guys come out and sit with us while we listen to the crickets and coyotes howling in the distance. Dylan gets up and builds us a little bonfire while I go into the kitchen to get the marshmallows and the roasting sticks. Mom and I move our chairs down to the fire while Dylan helps my dad down the steps. "You to look like your dancing," I laugh. "Yes, we do make a lovely couple," Dad pops off while acting like he is dancing with Dylan. We sit down and start roasting our marshmallows while we enjoy our peaceful night.
