It's been one crazy week from my dad coming to visit having to rescue him from Caylan then having to run her butt out of town (even though some of the covens thinks that I should have killed her) then Dylan asking me to marry him last night yes it has been a crazy week, but at least dad knows the truth about mom and I also I'm extremely happy never thought I would be again. Lilith and Dylan got their house rebuilt. It looks like their old one before it burnt except some of the rooms are bigger and the outside looks like it got a fresh coat of paint. I wonder when Dylan and I get married if we would conger up our house or go traditional and buy one. Or do it like mom did rent it then buy it. I guess I will find out in a couple of years. It also looks like mom and dad are getting along which is a good thing. I love seeing them getting along instead of fighting. I'm hoping they will get back together soon. I'm so happy my life is finally coming together after the past year when I thought my world was falling apart.
Blessed Be,
Mohani
The next morning I woke up long before my alarm clock went off. Well, actually I haven't been to bed. I've been awake all night long. I've been going over the events of the past couple of days wondering if I did the right thing letting Caylan live or not and wondering if she had heeded my warning about leaving town. I raise my hand up to look at the most beautiful engagement ring I've ever seen. It's a 12-carat oval-cut solitaire diamond set in 18k white gold. I lay there in bed spinning it around my finger wondering how he could afford such an expensive ring. My phone goes off with a bing, bing Dylan had just sent me a text message saying "Good morning my beautiful fiancé I love you and miss you lots see you at school," I roll my eyes. Yes, he is a hopeless romantic that was one of the reasons I love him so much. "I love you too," I text him back. Then I get myself up and out of bed pull on some jeans, a short-sleeved shirt, and my jean jacket. I dig around in my closet finding my booties with a small heel and pull them on then head downstairs to face the parents. "Good morning mom where's dad at," I notice as I bounce in the kitchen to grab some coffee only to notice there is none.
"He ran to get us some coffee. We forgot we were out." She laughs. "So how does it feel to be engaged," She asks as she takes my hand to look at the enormous ring on my hand. "He must love you a lot to spend that kind of money on an engagement ring,"
"That's what I was thinking when I woke up and saw it on my finger,"
Just then dad comes in the door with the coffee. "I went ahead and stopped at the café and bought some so you would have some before you left for school," Dad said cheerfully.
"Thanks, Dad," I say, taking one of the coffee cups then I go and add my caramel creamer in it kiss his cheek as I bounce by to head to school. I hear him comment to mom about how perky I was this morning as I head out the door. I am happy, why shouldn't I be? I'm engaged to a great guy, I got my parents under one roof getting along and on top of that Caylan's gone. I finally got the life I've wanted I say to myself as I drive to school. Cassie is the first one to my door as I pull up to the school and drags me out of my car door "I'm just so happy for you," She bursts out squeezing me in a bear hug all the while bouncing. "Let me see the ring again," She says pulling my ring finger to where she can see the ring. "Eeeeek I'm just so tickled, I couldn't believe it last night I almost choked on my drink when I heard him ask," Cassie screams.
I literally had to pry myself out of her clutches so I could get my things from the car and my much-needed coffee. Thankfully Dylan came over to save me from Cassie's craziness. "So my dear I bet you've already started making plans for the date of our ceremony," He teases.
"Oh well you know me, I want it to be tomorrow," I laugh as I tease back.
"Wait what, you can't get married tomorrow I gotta ok my bridesmaid dress," Cassie exclaims. I just turn and look at her then look back at Dylan who is laughing. I have no choice but to join him. After I calm down I look sympathetically at my best friend and tell her. "Hun I was just joking we are not getting married until we graduate so I promise you'll have time to help pick out the perfect bridesmaid dress,"
"Oh thank the goddess," She exhales in relief. "I thought I was going to have to wear a tacky dress,"
Poor Dylan starts laughing all over again. I offer him a drink of my coffee hoping it would calm him down before he passes out from lack of oxygen. When he does finally calm down he says "Kiera mom says if you need help with the planning and/or funding for the wedding she would love to help,
"Oh my really with your mom and my mom helping with the wedding will be so great," I exclaim.
"I'm so glad you see it that way," Dylan smiles happily.
We walk over to where the rest of our friends are hanging out and they all congratulate Dylan and I on our engagement and of course they all started asking who bridesmaids were going to be. "Don't worry you three are going to be my bridesmaid, that's a given," Dylan speaks up saying. "I'm going to be having my brother as my best man along with Blaine,"
"Wait, you have a brother," I ask curiously. "You've never mentioned him before,"
"Well that's because mom and he had a falling out so he moved to England with my dad, he's like in college or something last I heard," He explained.
"I can ask Blaine for you since I'm going to go see him for the weekend," Cassie offered.
"That's ok Cas I want to ask him," Dylan says.
The bell rings signaling school has started so we head inside. "At least we are seniors next year and only have half days," I say cheerfully. Dylan gives me a kiss as Cassie and I go into our first class.
Finally, school is over and I head home to head home so I can start planning my wedding thankfully if I can't think of anything I have mom and Lilith to help. As I pull up I notice mom's car was gone but dad's rental was still in the same spot as it was this morning when I left. I head inside " Dad I'm home!" I yell out, but no answer so I go look outback and in the guest room, but still can't find him last I go look in mom's room still not there but her bed was mussed up which is weird mom is always meticulous about having her bed made nice and neat. I figured dad went with mom somewhere so I got myself a snack and decided to do my homework at the kitchen table. A few hours later my parents came home laughing heartily. "Oh hi sweetie sorry we were late just thought I would show your dad around and get out of the house for a while since I had the day off," Mom explains.
"Well looks like you two had fun," I say cheerfully.
"We did it was fun but man I'm tired now," Dad chuckles as he takes his shoes to his room, remembering mom hates to have shoes in the living room. Not that my mom is picky, it's just that she has some major OCD so to keep her happy we comply with her orders not that I mind so much I enjoy having a nice, neat, and organized house so you know where things are.
After I finished my homework mom helped me with some of the details about my wedding things like, when it's going to be, where it's going to be, and the main question is how many people were going to invite, along with what kind of dress I'll be wearing. We decided that because I love the fall weather that it should be in October and to play in with our families being witches it should be on the 31st. After we decided that mom and I heard cheering then my Elisi showed up out of thin air. "I can't believe my only granddaughter is getting married. I feel so blessed," She beamed. If a ghost can. Elisi stayed and helped us with some other details of the wedding even Lilith showed up after mom had texted her that we were planning on a Halloween wedding which she was all for. I decided I wanted to have an outside wedding with an inside wedding as an option depending on the weather, but where to have it stumped me until Lilith suggested we have it in her backyard since she was doing the catering along with officiating the wedding. With the guest list, we decided to make them RSVP so we could have a roundabout count. Next on our list were the dresses and the suits for the men. Dressing the guys wasn't hard to do with the original black suit with a purple cummerbund, while the bridesmaid's dresses are going to be a long purple satin mermaid style dress with a chiffon top that has a black lace intricately sewn. into the dress with the back of the dress being a lace-up. I decided to send a picture of the dress to Cassie for the final approval and she gave it a thumbs up. The final thing on the list for tonight was finding me a dress. I was wanting something simple yet elegant while mom and Lilith said it's got to be classy yet elegant. We found the perfect one made out of tulle with crystal beading and a lace cathedral train. So this weekend we are going to have a girls day and go try on the dresses I've picked out. I'm going to be letting my mom and Lilith pick their own dresses out when we get there, it's going to be strange seeing my mom in a dress. I've only ever seen her in shorts and pants let alone all dressed up. Dad came into the kitchen to get him a drink of water and I told him that he will be wearing a black tux and a purple cummerbund. He looks at me and says."Purple is your favorite color. What other color did you decide on," I gave him a horrified look because I forgot to choose any other colors so I got out some swatches Lilith had brought over and started mixing them I decided on purple, yellow, and blue. Finally, I had most of my wedding planned out this weekend. I will work on the rest of it.
