Secrets

After we came to our senses last night we sat on the porch and we agreed that we would not talk about what happened here to anyone, if we needed to talk to someone we would talk to each other no one else. We say our goodbyes to Lilith and Dylan as they head home after a long night. I have trouble getting to sleep so I allow mom to put me asleep. Even though Blaine asks for her to put him to sleep, he doesn't even ask about what happened to his dad I kind of think he already knows. I don't feel well about this secret and what really happened to Aidan did we kill him or did we just make him disappear these thoughts cloud my head as I drift off to sleep, I end up having nightmares about what had happened, when I wake up in the morning I'm still really tired, I even try to talk mom into letting me stay home, but of course she doesn't let me. I head downstairs to guzzle some coffee in hopes it wakes me up long enough to get through school. Dylan shows up to take me to school except instead of him driving me in his car we take mine. I can't believe how I missed my baby and not being able to drive her.  I don't know how I made it through the day without falling asleep but I did. Blaine sends me a message saying he is going to Cassie's house. I smile when I read his message, then mentally do my happy dance. For the first time in weeks Dylan and I can be alone together, with that I rush off to my car, and there waiting for me is my love. He gives me a big kiss, then tells me to head to his house since we have been spending a lot of time at mine. I back out of my parking spot and turn the car to the right and head to Dylan's house. We pull up into his driveway when I see his mom's car is gone with that my big cheesy smile returns to my face. "My mom has to work late so we have the house to ourselves," Dylan says as he opens the car door for me. We head up to his room which for a guy is surprisingly clean, he has a big queen size bed, a fifty-five-inch flat screen on the wall, with bookshelves on one sidewall and a desk on the other, no band posters or anything trashy. As I look around his room, Dylan comes over and puts his arms around me " So what do you think about my room." He asks. "I'm not sure if it is your room, it's really tidy," I answer him.  "It is, I can't sleep with a lot of stuff in my room." He says as he guides me over to the bed " Are you sure you're ready?" he asks. I don't answer, I just reach my hands behind his neck and pull him in closer to me. Oh wow, I can't believe how strong his body feels, and how exhilarating it is feeling his body quiver against mine. Later on, I kiss him goodbye and head home as I'm pulling into my driveway I see Cassie backing out; she waves at me as she leaves. As I head into the house Blaine is sitting on the couch watching television, I just wave and head up to my room to do my homework then I go take a shower before mom gets home as I'm getting out of the shower, I decide to head down to the kitchen to make supper, just as I'm about done, mom, comes in the back door " Mmm smells good." Mom says. "Thanks, it's almost ready," I answer. Mom gets up and pours herself a glass of wine, oh boy I know what that means she's had a bad day at work. I make mom a plate and take it to her at the table, I go knock on Blaine's door telling him supper was ready. I sit across from mom so I can see if I can sense how she is feeling, but nothing, so I do the next best thing " So mom how was your day," I ask already knowing the answer. "It was ok," she answers in almost a whisper. I don't push her for an answer just yet, but something is bothering her. I can tell her that much. I decided to talk to her about it later. I clean up the kitchen when we're all done eating, head upstairs for bed, I'm so glad tomorrow is Friday and our circle meeting.  I awaken to what sounds like talking in mom's room as I listen closer. I can make out mom's voice and what sounds like Elisi's voice, but I know that's not possible Elisi is dead. I decide to sneak a peek into mom's room, but what I see as I peek in is a ghostly figure that looks like my grandmother and she is talking to my mom. In shock once again, I head back into my room and decide to get ready for school even though I had time to sleep for another hour. I go downstairs and grab myself a pop tart with my morning cup of coffee. I decide on a caramel cappuccino. I'm so glad I talked mom into getting a Keurig I say to myself waiting for it to finish pouring in my cup. As I am sitting at the table mom comes into the kitchen and heads to make her a cup of coffee, then comes and sits at the table with me. "Good morning mom, did you sleep well?" I asked. "I did sleep pretty good,"  "Mom, what happened yesterday?" I ask. "You only drink when you get home if you had a bad day?" I pleaded with her to tell me.  "Ok, fine, I'll tell you." She says. "The captain was just asking if Aidan had still been bothering you and I told him no. It just bothered me. I've never hurt anyone before, but I'm fine Kiera honestly."  I get up, go over to her and give her a kiss and a hug, then head up to the bathroom to finish getting ready for school. "Blaine, would you hurry up, we're going to be late for school!" I yell at Blaine who is trudging along this morning. "I'm coming, I'm coming, stop your nagging sis." He says. I just shake my head and climb into my Chevelle, start the engine and it roars to life like a tiger in the wild. How I love this car I tell myself as I shift it into gear. Blaine jumps in as I slowly back out of the driveway. "You're crazy!" I yell at him. He just looks at me and laughs. As we head off towards our school, I think I see Aidan standing on the side of the road nope, can't be we stopped him I'm just seeing things or someone that looks like him and I continue on to school. As we pull into a parking spot I spot Dylan waiting for me by his car. I'm so grateful he isn't with everyone else. I have questions that I'm hoping he can help me answer. "Hi," I say as I walk over to him and give him a kiss. "Can I pick your brain about something that's been bugging me,"  "Of course Kiera you can ask me anything isn't that what a boyfriend is for," He says with a smile. "Well, I was just wondering how many of us are actual blood witches in our coven, I know there's you and me, and Cassie, but what I'm wondering is if Lilly and Karley are as well. I mean their parents show up to our Friday night circles,"  "I don't know you might be onto something here, Blaine's dad never attended any circles except that one where he was creeping on you, but we don't know anything about his mom either she could be," Dylan acknowledges. "I guess I can bring it up at our circle Saturday night," I groaned at the thought. We head to class. I have figured out if you keep busy the school day really does fly by just like it did today. As Blaine and I head home I notice the same creepy guy again. "Hey, Blaine did you see that guy that was standing on the side of the road?" I ask completely freaking out I accidentally swerve the car. "Kiera I think you are seeing things," He laughs. We make it to the house where I run up the stairs to my room Oh Elisi I wish you were here I say aloud to no one but then I see a mist forming at the foot of my bed. "Oh, darling, I'm always here when you need me," The mist answers. I jump off my bed and back up toward the wall-shaking in my Chuck Taylors. The mist finally forms the image of my Elisi, even though I'm still shaking. I'm calm and so happy to see her. "So what can I help my favorite granddaughter with?" She asks. "Oh, Elisi I'm your only granddaughter." I laugh. "That might be true, but come on sit down and let's see if I can make you feel better." Elisi orders. I go over and sit on my bed, then start spilling my guts to Elisi as I've always done.  "Well, this witch hunter was trying to kill me and mom so we gathered our friends who are also blood witches and we destroyed him, or I think we did. I've been seeing a man that looks like him in the same spot when I went to school and on the way home I feel like I'm going crazy," Then I just burst out crying. I can feel Elisi's energy flow through me as she tries to comfort me. She starts explaining that sometimes a person's spirit stays behind if they have unfinished business and that's probably what is going on, seeing a man that looks like him in the same spot when I went to school and on here so everyone that was involved needs to do a cleansing ritual on our property also on ourselves. She then tells me she needs to go, but I can call her anytime I need her. I pull out her BOS, and I see words appearing that read “Be safe my dear, I love you” I smile to myself and say I love you to Elisi.
