Chapter 7

The rest of the trip on our way home was too quiet. Well, I don' really know what to say. Things have been moving on too fast and to top it up with my sister finding her mate and new boyfriend. Surely things will get weird sooner or later. But I won't let that happen. I hate to know that I'm no longer the only person my sister cares for it is now me and Nate. So upon arriving home, I immediately went up to my room got prepared for bed and drifted off as fast as a lightning.

7:00 Alarm Music turns on.

The warmth and coziness of my bed still pulls me in to deep sleep when my alarm went off. Ugh! It's 7 am on a Saturday and I forgot to remove the alarm last night. Lazily reaching for the alarm with my eyes close I hit on something and heard a thud on the floor. Feeling satisfied with the silence, I started to drift off again when I heard a car had parked in front of the house. With my windows open, I'm sure it's him, Nate.

I immediately stood up, went to the bathroom to check on myself and made sure I don't look like I've just woken up. I was down the staircase and on the door before my sister reach it. When he knocked, I open the door and covered his way through. Making sure he wont get inside easily.

"Sky! What the hell?!" my sister yells on my right ear.

"Damn! Meg, we're werewolves. I can hear you loud and clear you don't need to shout at me. You know."

"Yeah I know. But what the hell do you think you're doing?"

"Just making sure that I am protecting my sister from harm."

With those words, I shoot Nate angry looks. I can feel that he is intimidated by me. Which is a good thing, but he is the beta and he knows what he needs to do to make me listen to him and let them be. Too bad I'm still having problems with my wolf or he might be kissing the floor now; together with his smirk.

"Hey! Chill lil wolf. You don't need to worry. I will not hurt your big sister and I promise to protect her with my life." He promised crossing his heart.

Okay, so he caught my soft side. But I won't give up easily. I checked him head to toe then stared straight in to his eyes saying 'I'm watching you. d'you understand?' he nodded and I let him through.

I shot the door close with a bang and went back to my room. I could hear my sister apologizing to him for my actions. Which she need not to bother, because I shall treat him whatever I want even if he is our beta. He will ruin my life, that's for sure.

Deciding to cool off, I went to the bathroom and took a cold bath. After bathing for 15 minutes, as I enter my room my phone started ringing. It is Cleo, maybe calling to check on what time we will be doing our homework. But right after what happened last night, I don't think that I can stay in a room with her.

My bedroom door suddenly opened that got me caught off guard. I have been having this problem with my senses ever since that thing happened and it has been pissing me of. But what pissed me more is the fact that I am only covered by a towel and the person who suddenly opened my door was no other than Cleo.

After what seems like a few minutes of a staring contest. She went inside my room and closed the door together with the lock. Then she started walking towards me with that smirk on her face. I sure know what this person is thinking and I don't like it. Well, not now actually because of my sister's mate. His smell lingers everywhere in the house that when Cleo opened my door, this smell went inside my bedroom as well.

"Well. This is a nice sight. Your sister allowed me to enter you room without your permission. Just incase you're wondering."

"Huh. She's so typical. I'm not yet ready to do our homework. May you let me get dressed first?"

She was smirking. Nodding, letting me know that she'll wait for me to get dressed. It seems like she would like to watch me so I plotted a plan to seduce her but will leave her wanting. Looking for my fave lingerie on the drawer, I spotted this black lace set. Taking my time to put on my undies then giving her my back to wear my bra.

'are you putting a show for me?' Cleo immediately asked. I can hear her struggling to calm her breathing. I gave her a questioning look, pretending I didn't understood what she meant. 'I'm sorry but I have just finished my bath when you entered my room so now I'm getting dressed and since you would rather stay I have no choice but to get dressed in front of you.' Haha! I wont this time. That look on her face made me want to tease her more but we needed to get started with our homework.

"So why are you here so early? It's just like what? 9 am. And you're already bugging me."

"Aww. That hurts big time. You know, you shouldn't talk to me like that. I know you want me. and besides, I'll be the next alpha so why wont you give some respect?"

"I don't care if you're the next alpha. So are we going to do the paper or not?"

"Fine, but you'll be coming with me on a party later tonight. And you can't say no."

Ugh! This girl is frustrating. Well, I know girls can't resist me and boys to. But this girl is too much. But what if she is my mate and she knows it but is not telling me? This is totally confusing. Having this problem with my wolf jammed all my senses and instincts. Looks like I will need to fix all this fast.

We did the paper works for about two hours and stopped when I felt so hungry. I had forgotten to eat breakfast so now I'm so hungry that I just stormed out of my room and went straight to the kitchen to prepare something to eat.

'What's wrong with you? Leaving me there without a word?' Cleo followed me asking me this irritating question with so much air in her voice. Then my sister answered her question with a smirk on her face. 'Cleo, she's just hungry. She forgot to eat breakfast so now; she's so hungry she could eat a bear.'

'Shut it Meg. I'm still not ok with your new boyfriend.' Who the hell she thinks she is? Why does she need to answer for all my actions? 'Because I'm your big sister dumdum.' Oh great! So now I'm unable to have my privacy. 'it's not that sky you are actually literally screaming on my head right now and it's giving me a headache. So please stop it.'

'Well, it's not my fault that I have this problem! I didn't ask for this Meg!' after shouting at my sister, I immediately run out of the house and went straight in to the woods. I don't care if she'll follow me or not because at this point I can't control my anger.

This is too much. My head is aching and have been running by my own in the woods for like, I don't know how long now. And I'm so hungry but I don't want to go back home just yet. My sister tries to call me back by using our mindlink. But I didn't listened and went further in to the woods.

After what felt like around two hours of running I started to slow down, I'm so tired, hungry and thirsty all at the same time. And then I heard this wonderful music of flowing water. So I started to run again in to the direction of this body of water.

It was a 5 minute run before I reached the most beautiful place I've ever seen. I can't believe that deep inside this forest; seated a very beautiful waterfalls and lake. This sight reminded me of paradise, of how the beauty of nature touches one's soul which gives peace and harmony.

Meg's POV

"I need to go after her. She is my sister and the only member of my family that's alive. Please let me go Nate."

"I'm sorry but I can't. You'll need to let your sister learn for herself. She should know that you'll not always be there for her when she needs you."

"Yeah?! Well you're wrong Nate! I am the one who will always need her in my life no the other way around. And I can even choose her over you Nate. As long as we need each other one of us will still be there to support one another."

I told him straight to the face. Yes, Nate is my mate. But I need Sky more than anything else. Our bond is a lot stronger than others would think. She have helped me a lot with coping up and staying strong. All our lives we have shared countless challenges and she haven't left my side. She is my strength and I won't loose her like this.

Taking all my will power I called out to her with our mind link. 'Sky, where are you? Please come back home and be safe.' I waited for a respond but she didn't want to answer but I know she heard me, so I told her that I can wait until she decides to go back home and then we'll talk.
