Chapter 4In full clown costume with ruffles in place, clown shoes on and bowler hat on his head, Niki took one of the small circus promo carts and wheeled it down the clearway between the trailers, out into the field. The balloons attached to the cart bobbed and swayed with the motion, sometimes hitting Niki on the head lightly. The fairground music from all the different rides and sideshow attractions were playing as everyone got ready to open their attractions. It was still daylight, only mid-afternoon. “Hey, Cho-cho!” Mitko called at him in Bulgarian from the entrance to his little tent. “Care to see your fortune?” “No, thanks,” Niki replied, hurrying past the tent. Mitko was the circus fortune teller, and Niki had lost enough card games to him to know not to trust him with cards. “
