Damien sat in his sleeping chambers. He felt so empty inside. He had thought that he would be able to move on from Alexander like he has always done with his other victims, but he could not. All this while he has been following Alexander around because he could not let go. He watched as his father and stepmother abused him. If it went for Mark holding him back, he would have massacred that whole family leaving only the little boy alive. He was lucky to know that boy or else who would he have asked to take care of Alexander. He was hurting every single day watching the person he treasured the most being beaten like that, but it did not compare to the pain he felt when Alexander would cry and suffer from nightmares due to the trauma he caused.
