Episode 6

...... A year later ..... Cassandra "Love, you and Sam should return from your training now. It's lunch time," I linked Caspian. "We're coming love," Caspian replied. After two minutes, I saw them coming from my window. I felt pride inside me. My daughter was walking next to her father. She had been training so much the past year. Caspian told me that she is getting very strong. Even in the training sessions, she could kick a***s. She had been taking Luna classes with me and always impresses me with the big effort she puts. But, she was always silent and somehow introvert. She never wanted to talk with anyone, and she never expressed feelings about anything. She had been the most obedient though the quietest one in the pack house. She had changed a lot since Megan's death. I could never forget that day. It left a print in everyone's heart, but for Sam, it broke her totally. It was like changing her to another person. Now, she always wears black. She dyed her blonde hair and her eyebrows black. She is always focusing on being a perfect warrior as well as a perfect Luna. She reads a lot and devotes her whole time for studying. I was always worried about her sudden big change, but then I realized that it was better than seeing her crying the whole day as she did for the 3 months after Megan's death. They were the worst days to me ever. She refused food, studying and talking. She lost weight and was always crying. I and Caspian could never hear a word from her mouth. We tried our best to make her talk, but we couldn't. We got her a psychiatrist to the pack house, and he told us that due to the big shock she had received, she was unable to talk. We struggled a lot to make her feel better. One day, she woke up in the morning and told me she wanted to go shopping. I was going to lose my mind hearing her talking again, so I thoroughly agreed. But, when we reached the mall, I realized that she was buying new clothes all black in color. That didn't bother me at first, but I'd never seen her wearing any other color since that day, and that made me worry about her. ______ Megan It was a hard long day today. I spent the whole day with dad training. My mom called us back to eat. I left the training field with cheers and praises from the warriors. I chose to become this girl. After the traumatic shock I passed through, I wanted to get distracted by work. I dedicated much time to training, studying and Luna classes. I've become this strong girl after everything that had happened. I wanted to prove my parents that I'm a strong girl who can support the pack they sacrificed for though I'm in a different shape. I won't let the issue that my parents risked their life for be for vain. Supporting the pack was my only goal. That will also make Sam happy. She will be proud of me making her name shine among the pack. Now, everyone loves Sam and praises Sam. That's what she wished for. That's what I'm doing for her. For that reason, I accepted the fact of calling Cassandra mom, and Caspian dad. I won everyone's love, but I lost feelings. Since the day they buried my body, they buried my emotions too. I was like the robot. I train a lot but can't feel the pain. I read a lot but can't feel tiredness. I got compliments a lot but can't feel pride. I live in a family but can't feel love. For that reason, I always wear black, the reflection of blankness. I got back with Caspian to the pack house. "I'll change and be with you," I linked him. He nodded, and I left to my room. I took a shower, dried my body and stood in front of my mirror. I had the courage to took the black blankets off it 5 months after Sam's death. "You look different," Ellionora said. "I know," I replied. We were always so close. No matter what has happened, she always encourages me to stay strong and fight. "You'll turn 16 in two weeks. You will shift and I'll be announced to everyone as Dakota, Sam's wolf," she said. "It's us what matters Ellionora. We're shifting to be stronger. I don't care of what the pack members call you. Our mission is to save the pack. That's what we're here for," I explained. "I'll always be there for you. I can't wait to put my limps on the ground," she said excitedly. I smiled and put on my clothes. I went downstairs. Cassandra and Caspian were waiting for me. I sat down and hold my spoon to eat. "Sam, I bought you a dress today to wear," she said suddenly with excitement. "What for?" I replied with cold expressions. "Next week is your birthday, and you're going to shift. We're preparing you a party here. You have to be ready," she cheered with enthusiasm. "Ok," I replied simply. When she saw my cold expressions, her eyes watered and then she said, "How can I ever make you happy Sam? What can I do? What happened to you Sam? You're acting as if you're someone else. I can barely believe it's Sam. Tell me, what can I do for you to get you back to the happy girl I used to know." She was full of agitation. "Cassandra," Caspian warned. He thought she was hurting me, but I could feel nothing. "You can create a time machine. That's the only way you can make me happy," I replied. I put down my spoon and told Maria to prepare me lunch and send it to my room. I'm sure Cassandra was hurt by what I told her, but I was telling her the truth.
