The realtor was waiting when we arrived at the cottage and calmly cooperated with the security team’s search of her person and her bag. Once they’d cleared her, Marquis accepted the keys to the front door. He, Trip, and Gabriel fanned out. Greg stayed by the vehicle where Avery and I remained. Two went around the exterior of the house while the other swept the inside. When they’d finished, Gabriel waved us out of the SUV.
After Avery had decided to sell the cottage, we agreed that we wanted to take some time before it was listed to walk through and revisit the memories we’d made there and there were many.
