Chapter Twelve

~4 months later~

Right now I'm at this baking class with Iris she really wanted to come so I said why not.

"we will not be using the stovetop's or oven this is a no-bake pastry ". The instructor said as we all stood at our stations.

"mommy baby eat pastee". Iris asked rubbing my stomach and I give a small smile.

"if it's really good". I said giving her a fake smile.

"Okay, I make it good". She said smiling before looking forward.

Yes I'm pregnant I found out a few weeks of being up here and I thought really really hard about whether or not to terminate my pregnancy, keep it, or give it away. In the end, I chose to keep my baby because I would feel regret later on and I can't kill an innocent child and it definitely wouldn't be right that I kept Iris and not them.

"Mommy look". Iris said tapping me snapping me out of my thoughts.

"You're doing good baby". I said rubbing her back.

"She's beautiful". The man beside me said causing me to roll my eyes.

"Thanks". I said dryly turning back around and helping Iris mix her ingredients.

"Would you mind if I got your number". He asked walking over to our station.

"I would mind I'm focusing on myself and my children please go away". I said and he nodded walking back over to his daughter.

"Mommy cut it". Iris said pointing to the knife. 

"Okay ms.bossy pants". I said picking up the knife and cutting it how she told me too.

"Dude it's been four months and it seems like I'm the only one that gives a f**k that her and my niece are f*****g missing". Ashton said pacing back and forth.

"Why would you say some s**t like that dog you think I don't care". I ask sitting behind my desk going over paperwork.

"Nigga because you don't all you did when she was here was take up for T'mesha bad built ass and put yo hands on her and let's not forget about the dad situation". He said causing me to look up only to see he was already looking at me.

"What about the dad situation he said he didn't do it and she lied". I said with a shrug.

"See this the s**t I'm talking about right here bro you know Ariana would never make up no s**t like that but yet Y'all all sat there and didn't say s**t". He said mugging me.

"Nigga you didn't say s**t either so what the f**k". I say looking at him crazily.

"b***h you should have been the first one to speak up because that's yo child and don't worry about why the f**k I didn't say s**t because she already know wassup". He said sitting down on the couch that was in my office. 

"f**k you mean she already know wassup and when did you talk to her". I asked placing my pen on the desk.

"Man I been spending with Iris and she ain't want me to tell Y'all so I didn't but I dropped her off at home and that was the last time I seen them". He said placing his head in his hands.

"WHY THE f**k YOU AINT TELL ME YOU HAD MY DAUGHTER G YOU THINK YOU HER FATHER OR SOME s**t". I yelled standing up pushing the chair back.

"NIGGA I MIGHT AS WELL BE YOU DONT f*****g STICK UP FOR HER LIKE SHE YO DAUGHTER, YOU DONT STICK UP FOR HER MOTHER, AND YOU DAMN SURE SPEND ALOT OF TIME WITH A LIL BOY THAT AINT EVEN YOURS MORE THAN YOU DO WITH YO OWN KID SO MISS ME WITH THAT s**t". He yelled standing up and i charged him and we started fighting.

"HEY HEY BREAK IT UP". I heard someone say before we were pulled apart.

"Get yo s**t together then come holla at me until then I'm out this b***h". He said wiping blood from his lip and walking out slamming the door.

" I need information on Ariana Fletcher and I need it asap". I said sitting back down at my desk.

"Right away sir". He said rushing out the door.

After buckling Iris in her car seat I got in buckling up before starting the car and pulling off.

"Worf it mommy". She said waving her arms in the air.

"Really Iris I'm tired of hearing that song he can't even sing sound like he got something stuck in his throat and he trying hard to get it out". I said stopping at a red light looking back at her.

"He don't got to be perfect he just got to be worf it". She said/ sung causing me to laugh at her.

"Girl bye". I said laughing as the light turned green.

"But him worf it mommy". She said and I nod cutting on the song and she started singing.

"You don't even know the words". I said laughing.

"I just know the main part".she said laughing looking at me.

"I WILL GIVE YOU THE WORLD BABY GIRL YOU JUST GOT TO BE WORTH IT". She yelled singing so hard I could see her veins.

After a few more songs we were finally home. Getting out I unlock the door helping her out before taking her hand walking up to the door.

"When we get in here go clean up that room and bring your book so we can practice". I said unlocking the door and she nodded running inside.

"MOMMY". she yelled from the back as I picked up her toys around the living room.

"MOMMY". She yelled again causing me to sigh.

"DO YOU WANT TO FIGHT LIL GIRL". I yell back making my way to her.

"YES".She said with a giggle.

"What do you want baby girl". I ask smiling but it soon dropped when I walked into her room.
