Chapter Seventeen

Stepping off the plane I look over and see my driver holding a sign with my name on it.

"dude the only thing that nigga told us was that she was Italy no address no job how we gone find her". Ashton said handing the man his bags.

"I'm just waiting on my daughter to call me so I can go get them". I said getting in the car.

"ight cool". He said nodding getting on his phone and I do the same.

Bending down I try to button up iris' shirt for school since they have to wear a uniform.

"You look pretty daddy's baby girl". Masson said standing in the doorway.

"Thank you d-daddy". Iris said looking from him to me and I nod my head.

"I see Y'all are coming around that's what I like to see hurry up and finish getting her dressed so we can go". He said and I just nodded.

"mommy he's not daddy right". Iris asked tilting her head to the side.

"no baby he's a big meanie and we just have to do what he says until the baby gets here and then we go find daddy and get him to beat up the mean man". I said kissing her forehead.

"yea and uncle Ash too". She said smiling causing me to smile

"and uncle ash too". I said nodding as if she came up with a good idea.

"That's right baby now let's go before you're late". I said grabbing her hand and walking out of the room.

Walking out of the door I lock it and walk over to the car helping iris get in before getting in myself and starting the car.

~School~

Pulling up in front of her school I park the car and get out. Walking to the back I open her door and she jumped out grabbing my hand.

"Are you going to have fun today". I ask looking down at her with a smile.

"yes and I make a lot of friends". She said as we walked inside the school looking for her homeroom.

"Hello I'm Mrs.briggs and who is this cutie". A Mexican lady asked bending down to iris' level pinching her cheeks.

"Tell her your name". I said looking down at iris who hid behind my leg.

"Iris". She said looking from behind my legs.

"why don't you go play with those toys over there". She said and Iris looked up at me and I bend down kissing her forehead and she runs off.

"it's really nice to meet you". She said shaking my hand before walking away.

looking over at Iris I see her playing with another little girl and boy. Turning around I walk out before she notices and starts crying.

I guess I'll treat myself while she's at school.

We've been to almost every school they have and still haven't found Iris.

"nigga I'm positive she at this school right here". Ashton said parking the car and we got out.

"man if she not here I'm done with this s**t for the day". I said pulling up my pants walking inside the school.

"Hello, how may I help you". The office lady asked looking up.

"I'm looking for a(n) Iris Fletcher". I said looking around the office.

"I'm sorry sir we don't have a child here by that name". She said looking up from the computer.

"Bro I told you this s**t wasn't gone work lets go". I said shaking my head.

"wait there's a school right down the road you can try there". She said and Ashton tapped my shoulder.

"let's go last school bro I promise". He said and I sighed following behind him.

Walking out of the school we start walking down the road to get to the other school.

"if ari don't have my niece in school I know something". He said as we walked into the school and up to the office window.

"we looking for a(n) Iris Fletcher". He said speaking to the office lady.

"Who are you to her". I heard her ask as I looked down at my phone.

"Daddy". I heard a voice say but ignored it because it could be for anybody.

"DADDY".I heard the voice again and I looked up seeing Iris running my way.

Bending down she runs into my arms crying and I ain't gone lie a nigga teared up.

"Hey, baby girl you having fun on yo first day". I ask looking over her outfit.

"yes, daddy I go to lunch". She said pointing to where her teacher was waiting.

"Okay, I'll be here to pick you up with your mama". I said and she nodding giving me a kiss before running back over to her teacher taking her hand and walking to the cafeteria.

"let's be out we'll be here when they let out". I said walking past him and he followed behind.

~After School~

Standing outside the building I watch all the kids run out and Iris ran out looking around.

"OVER HERE IRIS". I yelled and she looked over smiling before running towards me.

"I missed you daddy". She said smiling as I picked her up.

"I missed you more baby girl". I said matching her smile.

"Oh, so it's f**k uncle Ashton huh". He said mugging her.

"I missed you too uncle ash". She said reaching over hugging him.

"where yo mama". I ask looking around and all the kids were almost gone.

"I no know daddy". She said with a shrug.

"it's I DON'T know". I said and she nodded.

"we'll wait for a few more minutes". I said leaning against the car.

After a while Ariana didn't show up so we got in the car.

"f**k it I'm hungry". I said starting the car and driving off.

Where the f**k is she...
