Exiting the house Lacy stopped dead in her tracks. On the patio the Duncan family is all standing around an open grill all smartly dressed. Tracy is wearing a light blue cocktail dress and all the Duncan men have blue jeans with neat button down shirts on. Even Bradley looks nice in a button down shirt almost the same colour as her dress and black slacks. The only ones that look ‘different’ were Josh and Clive with their altered egos. There are a few other people that Lacy recognises as members from Arch Angels M.C. all seated around the patio. She gives Josh a questioning look as he walks over to Bradley standing at the steps leading to the back yard. He himself has a confused look on his face, neither of them had any idea that there would be any type of gathering here tonight. Bradley’s eyes moves in the direction of Lacy and just as his eyes skips over her and start moving to the next focal point they instantly jumps back to Lacy.
She looks stunning in the vintage almost egg-shell coloured full length lace dress with quarter sleeves. Her blond hair styled in long loose curls pinned with a silver butterfly clip to one side. A hint of cherry red lip gloss accentuates her perfectly full lips and dark smoky eyeshadow made her crystal clear blue eyes pop. The only thing reminding Bradley that it is the ever controversial Lacy was her worn biker boots on her feet. As her eyes meet the dark orbs of Bradley his face turns emotionless and uninterested, once again giving Lacy confidence in winning the bet she has with Clive. Clive watched Bradley’s reaction from afar, smirking as he notices Bradley’s expression of admiration just before Lacy’s eyes find his. To Clive even a blind man could see the chemistry and attraction they have between them. ‘This bet is so mine to win.’ He thinks as he makes his way to Lacy.
“You look absolutely stunning, my dear.” He whispers in her ear after he gave her a lingering kiss on the cheek, making their interaction look intimate.
“Thank you.” Lacy blushes as she looks at Clive from under her laches. “You look different.” Clive just smirks as he makes his way back to where he came from just as a loud voice breaks through the atmosphere.
“Friends and family all gathered here tonight, thank you for being here this afternoon.” Dave’s loud voice catches the attention of all the guests speaking in hushed tones. “As you know we received a very important notice today that involves our vice president as well as the vice president of our fellow brother hood, Falcon Pride.” Bradley and Lacy shared a confused look as their eyes locked before turning back to Dave. “We all been waiting for this day ever since the first mud fight they had as young ones. We all knew it through all the teasing, tricks and the broken bones, but they both seemed to be oblivious.” Dave gives a wink to emphasize the underlined meaning of his words, a frown forms between Lacy’s eyes as she tries to figure out what Dave is talking about.
“Please would you Bradley and Lacy join me?” The confusion is evident on both faces as they near Dave. “By the look on your faces I can tell that the both of you still don’t know what I am talking about. Your father Lacy, send me a fax earlier today containing your marriage license and the proof of your marriage.” Clive turns to the shocked couple as Tracy hands him two envelopes. “He said that the two of you wanted to keep this secret until your return, but we could not help it and wanted to celebrate this happy unity between the two of you. We are all just so glad that you finally admitted to the love that we all have seen blossom over the years and may the love you share be edged in to eternity. Thank you for giving up your honeymoon to go with Josh on this journey.” an anticipated silence falls around the patio.
“Really Dave all this is not necessary as we are just pretending.” Lacy whispers from the side of her mouth as she smiles stiffly at the crowd in front of them.
“It’s not pretending anymore, my dear.” Dave answers softly as he turns towards her and gives her a hug. Then he shakes Bradley’s hand not bothered in the least at his angered demeanour.
“What have you done?” she asks softly as she feels the deep dark hallows stretching out their tentacles and drawing her close again. Just before she slipped into darkness she felt a pair of strong arms encircle her tiny waist.

“What do you mean this is not pretending anymore?” Bradley’s furious voice cuts through the navels of Lacy’s clogged mind. The gentle hand that wiped her face with a wet cloth stilled as her eyes started to flutter open. Concerned green eyes meet her confused blue one's as they focus on the person by her side. Oblivious to the awakening of Lacy, Bradley still furiously paces the living room floor. “How could you get us married legally without our consent or even us being there? It cannot be legal.”
“You know just as well as I do that document in your hand is as legal as can be. Your father was the one that signed it.” Dave retorts despondently making Bradley groan in frustration.
“Why would my father do something like this?” Bradley questions confused, waving the paper in the air. “He knows I hate her.”
“The feeling is the same.” Lacy pipes up from the sofa where Bradley laid her down after catching her. Her voice is soft and weak from the fainting; slowly she sits up revealing her awakening to Bradley and Dave.
“Oh, shut up. If you did not come with us then this would not have happened.” Bradley sneers, directing his anger towards Lacy, the easy target.
“You cannot be serious. It is not my father’s signature on the document.” She defended.
“But he is the one that send it to Dave besides, it’s not like I asked my father to do this. I tried my freaking best to get you to stay back home, but just like always you just had to stick your dumb blond head into everything. I really wish you would for once get the damn message I don’t want you near this, it’s dangerous.” Bradley folds his arms over his chest glaring at Lacy. If she just listened and stayed, then they would not have been stuck married to each other.
“Well sorry for you, but Josh is my friend too and I will help him when and how ever I can. Got it?” Lacy stood from the sofa almost pushing Josh to the ground. She is angered by the egotistical Bradley. Glaring back at him she mirrors his stance again, showing him that she is determined to not back down. “I do not care what you think of me and I do not care if you like me or hate me. I care about my friend and what he needs to do. I will not let a self-absorbed egomaniac stand in my way to help a friend. I did not ask for this either and I sure as hell do not want to pretend to be married to you.”
“Wake up, love. This is no longer pretend!” Bradley throws the crumpled paper to her as if it was burning his hand. “You and I are married according to the law.” He finishes with distaste dripping from every word. Frustrated he turns around and storms out the front door leaving Lacy shocked at his last words. She was sure the paper had to be falsified, just make their cover more believable.
“Josh, please tell me I just heard him wrong?” She says defeated in a soft voice barely audible. Her hands slowly lift to her face covering it.
“I’m afraid not. Dave received it this morning just after we left. Your dad faxed it and called Dave to inform you and make you understand that this is serious. He asked that he would do it in front of a few guests so there would be witnesses. I’m sorry, bud.” Josh’s voice is calm and relaxed. He knew that this is a big shock to Lacy and Bradley, but there is nothing to do about it now. It has to wait until they return after the mission, like Mr. Cavanagh said when Dave suggested that they should return to sort this out first.
“What will we do Josh? Bradley hates me, but this would make it even worse. We needed to try to get along, but now that would be impossible.” Lacy slowly sits down on the sofa, her face imprinted with worry. What will they do?
“We will work it out, don’t worry.” Josh quietly sits down next to Lacy and rubs her back in a calming manner.

Bradley sits down sideways on his bike facing the front door he just stepped out of. He hates smoking, but at times like these a few pulls on a cigarette helps to calm him down. Just as he puts the cigarette into his mouth and lights the lighter a soft feminine voice speaks up from the sidewalk. “You know smoking is bad for you.”
“Like I care.” He replies unemotionally as he blows the smoke out from the side of his lips. His demeanour is cold and unwelcoming as he gives her a quizzical look. He cannot remember seeing her before and believe him he would have remembered.
“You look like you had a bad day. Want to talk about it?” The redheaded beauty walks closer to Bradley taking the cigarette out of his hand and taking a pull before handing it back to him, her eyes never leaving his. This girl was forward and flirty, her eyes clearly displaying what she wanted from Bradley. Easy was an understatement.
“Nah, I would much rather get to know you.” Bradley gives her a flirty smile in return as he holds out the cigarette to her. Her green eyes lighting up like a fire cracker.
“You want to come to my place? It is much more private and intimate.” Her green eyes hungrily devouring Bradley, she bites the corner of her bottom lip in as suggestive manner trying to look sexy, but just coming off as desperate.
“I don’t even know you.” Bradley scoffs.
“But, isn’t that the whole idea for you to get to know me?” Moving closer she stands close to Bradly almost no space left between them as she softly traces her index finger down his off white shirt from his collarbone to his abs.
“You sure it’s all we will be doing?” He whispers close to her ear making a shiver run down her spine. His warm hand sprawled over her back. Pulling back he takes another drag from the almost finished cigarette, his dark brown eyes lingering on her green emerald ones. Lifting his chin he blows out the smoke over her head, his eyes peaking from his black eyelashes.
“I would not mind…”
“Yo, bro. We leave in 5.” Josh’s voice cuts the redhead’s sentence short.
“Sorry dear, guess it won’t be possible tonight.” Bradley gently pushes her away from him. His arrogant smirk plastered on his lips. Bradley has always been used to women throwing themselves at him, but contrary to Lacy’s believes he only encourages it to a point. He despises desperate women even more then he despises his now newly wedded wife. The redhead gives him a look that can only be classified as disbelieve. She was sure he was just as into her as she was into him. Walking past Lacy a thought suddenly pops into his head and before he could think, he acts on it. Suddenly he grabs Lacy around her hips and pulls her close to him. His warm breath fans her shocked expression and before she could do anything Bradley’s lips connected with hers once again that day. Before history could repeat itself and Lacy could respond his lips leave hers, replacing the warm electric sparks with an empty cold feeling. Shocked into paralysis she could not lift her hand to hit his smirking face like she wanted to so badly. “Just getting my bag, wife-y, then we can leave.” He says loud enough for the redhead to hear. He smiles as he sees her storming off assumingly to her house. “Guess having you as my wife for now would definitely have its advantages.” Bradley states when he turns around to go and find his backpack.
“What’s wrong?” Clive asks as he follows a fuming Lacy stomping towards her bike.
“That jerk face i***t just used me as if I was his possession. Just because we got unknowingly and illegally married does not mean he can kiss me to get rid of unwanted trash.” She mumbles more to herself then Clive.
“So, why are you mad? Because he used you or because he kissed you.” Clive teases.
“Because he used me, no wait because he kissed me, no can I say both?” Lacy asks getting her confused when she is mad is really easy. Shaking his head at the confused expression on Lacy’s face Clive walks closer to Lacy. Standing in front of her he leans forward pressing his hands on her bike behind her. Enclosed between his body and her bike Lacy nervously asks: “What are you doing?”
“I, my dear, have a bet to win.” Wiggling his eyebrows at her he leans closer to her ear and softly adds: “You look really cute when you look confused.” His warm breath tickles her ear and a warm red glow rises from her neck.
“Uhm.” Bradley clears his throat near them breaking the intimacy. “Can we get going now?” He demands as he swings his leg over his bike; pulling his helmet over his head he gives Lacy one last glare.
“Guess you just lost that bet, Mister.” Lacy smirks as she lightly pushes Clive away from her.
“Double or nothing?” Clive asks with a half-smile. “One more day and then you can call it.”
“Fine by me.” Lacy winks.

The lively atmosphere of the rally hit them as they enter the campsite where the annual Beastly M.C.’s week long ‘Beasts’ rally is held. Clive managed to get them all passes as Josh would be trying to get a prospect placement in the club, Bradley and Lacy would be honeymooners on a road trip of rallies, merely acquaintances of Josh. The first rally would be the most important one as it would make or break their cover. The aim for the first rally is to get Josh the prospect badge that can only be granted by the Beastly’s president Ethan Cole and presented by the end of the week to new initiates. Clive would stay close to Josh, but keep his distance from the lovebirds as he only pretends to know Josh. Clive parks his bike near the demarcated Beastly M.C. campsite to show Josh, Bradley and Lacy where to set up their tents. His would be inside the demarcation stripes, but he would come to fetch Josh as soon as he is all set up inside the camp. Lacy and Bradley would stay behind and then from tomorrow on they will slowly start to mix with the Beastly M.C. members.
“Before I go, you two have to make this believable or all this would be a waist.” He points to Bradley and Lacy as he addresses them sternly. “I don’t care how much you two throws up in the inside, but you have to act like a newly wedded couple and before I forget Bradley’s father send these to Dave.” Holding a small box out in front of him he lets Bradley take it to open. Inside the small velvety box were two wedding bands, simple, but unique as their names where carved on the outside and without waiting on a reaction from them he starts his bike and makes his way to the camp. He has to admit that this real marriage was totally unexpected and through a spanner in his plans, especially now that he was starting to feel a fluttering in his chest whenever he came near Lacy.
“Nice touch.” Josh remarks as he glances at the rings over Bradley’s shoulder.
“Buzz of, Josh” Bradley hisses falling straight into Josh’s trap, making him smirk in triumph.
“Can we just get these tents up, so I can get away from this thing?” Lacy asks annoyed giving Bradley a disgusted look with a shove to his arm as she walks past him, ignoring the rings in his hand. There is no way she would be wearing that thing.
“You seem to forget something princess, we share a tent.” Bradley unnecessarily reminds Lacy as she shoves past him.
“You see Bradley, I did not forget. I fully intend on helping with the tents and then my dear husband I am going to go to the beer tent over there.” She indicates to a tent clearly marked with a beer sign and loud music blasting from it. “Leaving you inside the tent with the beer we bought this afternoon to keep you company, of course.” Lacy starts her plan counting on the stubbornness of a certain Bradley Jones.
“Now, now Mrs. Jones, what type of husband would I be if I let my newly wedded wife take off on her own to a rambunctious place like that?” Bradley teasingly asks as he steps close to Lacy. His tone low and his eyes blazing as he looks into hers.
“Fine then I’ll stay and you go.” Lacy retorts stubbornly with a sweet smile hiding their argument to the outside world. This was actually her plan all along. Spending the night in the tent with a book would be lovely after the day she had.
“No way, wifey. We have to stick together, besides we don’t want to cause a scandal on our first night as a married couple with all the girls that cannot keep their hands to themselves.” Bradley mocks, knowing he has a point and she cannot do anything or she will blow their cover.
“Fine, then you’re buying.” Lacy says as she turns around to help Josh set up camp. “Guess having you as my husband for now would definitely have its advantages.” She says sarcastically repeating his words from earlier. Did he just get stuck with buying her drinks for her tonight?
