02|Who Is He

1750 Words
*Delilah* The deliciously gorgeous guy shuts his blinds angrily. Well jeez, I didn't mean to stare. I didn't think he would be vindictive because I stood to stare.  I bite the inside of my mouth as I thought about the way his bumpy six-pack moves with every stroke of his hair. When he went to grab that shirt every muscle in his body looked delicious, almost as if it was calling for me to touch it with my soft fingers.  Mmm, I want to touch his toned body. I want to feel every bump with my fingers and I want him to react to my touch. What the hell am I thinking? I have a mate and I never want to be like him. I don't want to neglect my mate bond. I could never cause my other half a pain like that. I toss my phone on the bed and grab the TV remote. Just before I was interrupted I had a message from my mate Jonathan saying he can't come visit me out here at all. Honestly, if we didn't have this bond he wouldn't even stay with me. A knock on the door interrupts me and I open it. David is standing at the door with a bag in his hands. "Hey, Delilah. I know you probably don't like me much but I just wanted to get you a little gift." he smiles. I couldn't hate him just because my mother left me. David seems like a nice guy so maybe I'll have him take me to the mall when I need it. "I don't hate you, David. I just can't act happy in front of my- Felicity. Not after what she did." I explain apologetically. I didn't want to seem like a bad person. First impressions are everything. "I understand it may take time but your mother is a wonderful person. I just hope you can get to know her like I did." he smiles. "You must really love her." my expression grows cold. I still can't forget all the nights my father cried and was so broken he couldn't get out of bed. "I do. We're taking it slow though since we started dating only four months ago." I take a deep breath. I don't want to know about the wonderful life she's had without my father and I. "Well thank you for the gift, David." I take the gift from his hand and look at it. It's a bracelet with a charm on it. It has empty charm rings. It's silver with a horse on it. "You can fill up the rest if you decide to keep the bracelet." the corners of his lips curl up into a warm smile. "Thank you." I say. He nods before walking away. I decide to leave my door open and scan around my room. I don't want to get too comfortable but this place needs some touching up. My room back at my fathers place is blue and gray. I like dark colors mainly because they don't hurt my eyes when the light shines on them. I picture myself decorating the room. The things I'm going to buy and where I'm going to put anything. I really need some new curtains on this window. The curtains on the window are see through. Since there's a guy living next door I really need to get some darker ones.  I take out my phone to text my father. I can't tell him about David because I'm not sure if he's truly over Felicity or not.  Me: I made it dad. Felicity tried giving me a hug like she knew me for years. Dad: Sweatheart I told you to be nice. Me:She the one who walked out on us. I'm not giving her a second chance. Dad:Sigh okay. At least try to get to know her. Me:I'll try. I'm going to be out of the house most of the time anyway so I don't have to put in too much work. Dad:Felicity! Me:Text ya later dad. I put my phone back into my pocket. I need to make a friend or two while I'm here so I don't have to be in this house with her all day. I go out of my room and walk downstairs. "Hey David is there any places where I can find people to hang out with?" I ask  "There is a place." he rubs his chin "You have to ask your mother if you can go though."  "She's not my mother." I correct him. "Um Felicity." he corrected himself. I take a moment to look at David. He looks just like the guy next door. Dark jet black hair, sharp hazel eyes. I assume this is his father. "Is the guy next door your son." I blurt out my thoughts before I can stop myself. David tenses up and I can see the nervousness in his eyes. "N-no my son is dead." He says a sad look crosses his face. So the guy next door I saw was a ghost. No that couldn't be. Ghosts aren't real and he looks 100% real. I don't dig into anymore of his business and just shrug. "Guess I was seeing things." I pick up an apple out of the glass on the table and rinse it off. Felicity heads down the stairs and once she spots me her eyes light up. "Hey. I was hoping we could spend some time together?" Felicity asks. I take a bite of my apple as I look at her. "I'm going out. David can you give me the address so I can get ready." I look over to David who is rubbing the back of his neck. "Oh um okay." Felicity smiles sadly. David gives me the address and I walk back upstairs to get ready. The party he told me about is a bonfire by the lake. I just hope that no one tries anything funny. I grab a quick shower washing my face, brushing my teeth, and my body. Then I step out and curl up my hair. I put on some lip gloss and natural-looking makeup. Now for the outfit. I grab a white crop top and some denim blue jeans from my suitcase I haven't unpacked yet. The crop top isn't that short. It stops just above my belly button. Once I finish up I text my best friend. Me:Going to a party all alone. Gabbi:I'll be out there next week so you won't have to go alone again. I walk down the stairs and Felicity is cooking. "Have fun. Dinner will be ready when you're home." I don't plan on eating dinner with her. I doubt she'll go to sleep until I come home though. Then again I don't even know her. I grab my car keys and leave the house without saying a word. I walk down the steps and get into my car. If I remember correctly I wrote down the address on my hand. I look down at my hand. The ink is smoother but I can still make out the words. I type the address into my phone. It's late in the afternoon so I hope I get there before the sun goes down.                                                                     ꧁꧂ *Emelio* I stood staring at all the guys at the party. My cigarette in between my fingers as I thought about my life. I could never fall in love and s*x with humans has always been terrible. They love it but it's a turn off to hold back my wolf. Humans aren't allowed to know we exist but yet I still sleep with them. I stopped at some point since there wasn't a point anymore. Now I'm at a damn party with guys who are trying to get with humans. My friend jasper invited me here. I thought it was going to be a fun party but I'm not interested in humans. I'd rather have my way with the beauty next door. Her wolf has never lost control while looking at me indicating she has a mate already.  The party is cool and all but Id rather go to Jacobs's party. Jacob is my other friend. He invited me but there wasn't a reason to go. He's having a bonfire party meaning a lot of couples will be making out and going home to f**k. I didn't want to be around all that romance since I can never have it. Even if I do manage to make a wolf fall for me they will always be overpowered by the mate bond. I clenched my fists at the thought. My thoughts are interrupted by a black car pulling up. It's the first time I've seen this car at one of these parties. I stare at the car as a blonde steps out of it. It wasn't just any blonde, it was the girl I had seen earlier. She's only been here for a couple of hours and she's already at a party. She looks around like she's confused. That's when her eyes land on mine. She stops in her tracks and bites her bottom lip. I lean my head to the side and puff out smoke. She makes her way over to me. I didn't really want to talk to her but I need to put my game face on. "E-Excuse me. Do I have the right address? I was informed there was a bonfire but I don't see one." She asks. I look at her face up close for a second. Yeah, she's a beauty alright. "No. This is a completely different party." I say tearing my gaze from her. "Did my dad give you the wrong address? He probably thought I was heading to that party." "N-no I think it washed off in the shower." she digs for something in her purse as I take another smoke from my cigarette. She pulls out a piece of paper and hands it to me. "Can you write it down." She asks. I take the piece of paper making sure my hand rubs against hers. They are soft and I can imagine how they'd feel on my face and in my hair. "You're going to be drinking tonight right?" I ask and she nods looking up at me with those innocent eyes. "I'll take you to the party. You might get lost." I say with a straight emotionless face. "I don't really know you." she nervously fumbles with her fingers. "If anything happens I'm sure your mom will kick my ass." I wink and she shudders. "Ok."
