The Golden Bite

I hugged my father after he carried my last bag to my car and set my suitcase inside. "I know you don't want to go Delilah but I want you to get to know your mom." My father lectured We both know that I didn't want to go with that woman. I'm angry she just left me and now all of a sudden wants to be in my life again. She betrayed my father just because he's a human. She didn't want to deal with raising her cub with a human man.  "I will never forgive her dad. Please don't make me feel something that's not there." I let out an agonized sigh and he furrowed his brows. "I just want you to get to know her. Once you do if you still hate her then you can come home the last month of summer." his mouth curled into a smile. "Alright, dad. I'll see you in 3 months." I wink before getting into my car. He waves to me as I pull off. I keep my eyes directed on the mirror as my father's figure disappeared in the distance. I was going to miss him. My mate Jonathan didn't come to say goodbye to me. If I'm being perfectly honest he probably wouldn't even come to me if my house was getting broken into. As soon as I turned 18 last year I was partnered up with Jonathan white. Formerly known as the school's quarterback.  When we met each other I thought we would be the most in-love people on this planet, but things don't always go as planned. Jonathan barely hung out with me, he didn't even try to make us work. The only reason we stayed with each other is because of our mate bond. He took all my firsts but none of them were worth talking about. Faking orgasms every time we have s*x isn't something to brag about. We don't love each other but since I'm a wolf there's no way for us to break apart. Unless of course, I meet a golden wolf. Golden Wolves have cursed. The curses they have are brutal therefore they can't have a mate. Golden wolves were shunned from society back in the olden days. That's why it's very rare to see one. I'm pretty sure they are extinct. Golden wolves are skipped over by the moon goddess. They don't get mates that's why they are extinct. If a golden wolf does decide to mate and mark a wolf who already has a mate then that girl will die. The only way a golden wolf can break that curse is if the girl loves that golden wolf back. Most girls already have mates that's why they are cursed. That's what my grandma used to tell me when she was still alive. I feel bad for Golden wolves but honestly, I wouldn't mind if I was one. I mean look at the guy I'm destined to be with for the rest of my life. He doesn't even love me. I'd rather be cursed than to spend the rest of my life in a loveless mate bond.                                                                       ꧁꧂ I pull my car into the driveway of Felicity's house. It was a medium-sized house that was surrounded by woods. It looks newly painted so they must have been working on the house before I arrived. There are two houses on either side of Felicity and no more insight. I don't like secluded places like this but I'm a werewolf so I'm going to have to deal with it.  My eyes wander to the dark blue house next to ours as I step out of the car and my eyes meet the most beautiful hazel ones. I don't know how I spotted the jet black-haired, toned guy staring at me through a window on the second floor of his house. My breath hitched in my throat as his eyes scanned me up and down. A dark feature on his face as he does. My body feels on fire beneath his gaze.  His perfectly fitted dark clothes that match his dark aura are gorgeous. My wolf is screaming danger and for me to stay away but she's the one that got me into that loveless mate bond. I lick my bottom lip and brush my hair out of my face and behind my ear. His gaze snaps to my lip that I just licked and his eyes flicker. I can tell he can't keep his wolf under control. I guess he doesn't have a mate yet. I take a deep breath about to tease him more when my mother suddenly runs out the door. "Delilah Honey." She hugs me but I keep my arms at my side. I don't know this woman. I was disappointed to see that the guy from before was now gone. I push Felicity back and her smile drops. "I-I'm sorry. I got a little too excited." She smiles again. "I'll have David help you with your bags." She motions for me to follow her into the house. I had to walk up some steps to get to the porch and then into the house. The inside of the house looked different from what I'm used to. I can only see the living room area. My mot- Felicity seems to like her furniture bright colors. Orange, light brown, and white. The walls and pillows on the couch are orange and the couch is white with light brown rugs under it and brown pillows to match the orange ones.  The bright light outside made it look like the perfect couple home. A man walks up to Felicity and kisses her on the cheek. "This is David." Felicity beams and I can tell they have been together for a long time.  "Is he your boyfriend," I say in a bored tone. "Yes. He lives next door." "I'm glad you seem to have found happiness while my dad was suffering for all this time," I say in a resentful tone. I stride past him as David and Felicity give each other weary looks.  I didn't come here to get close to Felicity. For the next three months, I'm not going to come out of whatever room they put me in. If I do then I'll just leave the house without saying a word to them. "I'll show you to your room." She walks past me and up a flight of stairs. I follow after her. A long walk down a very wide hallway and we finally stop in front of a door. I look inside the very bright room. A bed in one corner and a big window next to it. The blinds are open and I can see into the neighbor's house. There's a large white dresser with a few pairs of clothes and a lot of hangers inside. "I didn't want to decorate it too much."  David walks up the stairs with my suitcase and I take it from him. "I know I wasn't a good mother." She sighs "But I'm here now." At that, she and David walk away and I'm left with my thought. "How do I make my days go by faster.                                                                      ꧁꧂ *Emilio* I pant as I stroke myself once, twice. I groan as I c*m aiming at the drain. I have to take care of myself because I can't have a mate. I step out of the shower and wrap the towel around my waist. Being a golden wolf means I can't have s*x with another wolf if they don't want to die. I figured this out the hard way. Years ago I slept with my girlfriend of two years and marked her. Unfortunately, she didn't wake up the next morning. I got kicked out of pack territory and moved here with my dad. Even though I can't go out during summer since it's mating season. I have the power to break a mate bond. I can only do it if the other party is positive they're in love with me. My ex wasn't in love with me at all. I mean she did have a mate after all. After everything that's happened, I vowed to never get close to anyone ever again. That girl I saw earlier made me question that though. She was beautiful. Her curly blonde curls rested on her shoulder up in the ponytail she wore. Her dark brown orbs burned into mine even from afar. Her slender curbs in the outfit she wore revealed themselves to me. Her body screamed devour me.  What took me is the way her tongue darted over her bottom lip. Purr. If she was mine I'd do so many things to those lips she teased me with. What am I thinking? I could never have her. She looked to be about 19 or 20 which means she already had a mate. If I got involved with her then ill only bring upon disaster. I felt my c**k awaken underneath my towel. "We should make her ours." the wolf deep inside me said. I ignored it though. I absolutely won't kill another innocent girl with my curse. I opened the door to my room and walked in. The window is open but I could care less. The room across from mine has always been empty. I run a hand through my hair and then notice something. It's the girl from earlier. She isn't looking my way through. Her blonde curls are bouncing down her back as her hand frustratedly massages her scalp.  She's wearing a short pair of shorts revealing her thick sexy legs. Her eyes are stuck on her phone and it seems as if she's typing. "Mm Sexy girl." I purr and as if she heard me she turns her head to look directly into my eyes. I can see the blush on her face as she gulps slowly. I smirk at her and take a shirt out of my drawer. There are two ways I can do this. Ignore her with a scowl or see how attractive my body is to her. I decide to go with the first one. When I look again she clears her throat and looks away. I walk to my blinds and force them closed. I could see the shock on her face before they closed. She was going to get herself into trouble with me so I need to keep my distance. It won't be hard since I'm going to be in the house away from people most of the time. No one knows I'm a golden wolf and I want to keep it that way.
