Chapter 16

They were about to reach their destination. All this time, Siera only knew that her grandfather-in-law's house was huge and spacious, but how big Siera was never known. It was only today, with her own eyes, that Siera saw that the home was truly spacious and majestic. Magnificent cannot describe the condition of her grandfather-in-law's house adequately. Unfortunately, the luxury of his house was soon covered with a yellow ribbon that read "don't cross the line". Diego's car was parked on the right side of the road. For a while, Siera looked from outside and admired the state of the house. The gates were tall and long, made of solid metal, and covered with gold-copper paint. There are carvings of hibiscus flowers and leaves inside the magnificent entrance. From afar, one would immediately be amazed by the sturdy and robust appearance of the gate. The large fountain looks shady; from the outside, people can see the rush is in the middle of a large courtyard. Unfortunately, the fountain is no longer operating at this time. Whether it was because the house owner had recently been a victim of murder, that the house was currently under police surveillance or the other reasons Siera herself did not know. The inscription that reads “The Lee Family” became a welcome word for all guests who visited the house. Siera was stunned; Diego's voice brought Siera out of her daydream about the house's luxury. "Come on, let's go in," Diego said to Siera. As if grasping at what Diego had just said, Siera immediately rushed over and followed behind him without saying anything. The fence was locked. Diego had the key with him, and he quickly opened it. There is no guard on duty at the security post, located on the right side behind the gate. After entering the house entrance, Diego immediately went to the guard post; he saw that CCTV was no longer there. He pulled out his cell phone and called someone. “Hello,” Diego greeted the person on the other end of the line. A man's deep voice could be heard clearly from the other side as he replied, “Hey, Diego. Have you entered the house yet?” "Well, I just arrived at the security post of Mr. Lee." "Oh, that's good. How did you get some evidence?” "Not yet. Have the police seen the contents of the CCTV?" The man named Tony replied, “Yes. However, something is bothering me.” "Can I come there later?" This time the policeman laughed. “Just come; you always help us solve cases. Your arrival is, of course, awaited.” After saying so, Diego hung up his phone. Siera noticed the disappearing object that Diego was currently watching closely. “Are you looking for CCTV?” "Yes, but the police have looked at the contents of the CCTV, so it's quite a relief." Then Diego did not immediately walk towards the entrance, but he took a magnifying glass from the bag he was carrying and walked along the way. "What are you doing?" Siera asked in a confused voice. However, Diego did not answer at all. Siera ran after Diego. She wanted to know what Diego was doing. Then Siera heard Diego say, “Today is sunny; yesterday was also sunny. However, two days ago, it was raining, and the murder is alleged to have happened four days ago, one day before the wedding day.” Siera watched Diego's mouth keep muttering. The killer killed Lee's grandfather first, only one day later, someone had poisoned her right on her wedding day. Diego continued to follow his feet, walking. He suddenly stopped, and he looked to the right. Siera kept her eyes on Diego. The man's stern face was now wrinkled. He was deep in thought. His feet then turned to the right, and he walked to the right looking at the ground beneath him. “Do you think the culprit will come this way?” Siera asked in disbelief. Diego only looked at Siera, but he didn't answer Siera at all. He kept looking down and walked again to the fountain in the middle of the garden. Then he suddenly raised his head and said, "Do you know what time the security guards usually change shifts?" Sierra scratched her head. She tried to remember if Jonathan had spoken of it before, then a voice popped into her head, "Six in the afternoon." For a long time, Siera was stunned, this voice… Was this voice the voice of the previous owner of the body? Siera asked herself. She nodded her head, got it. It was the voice of the previous owner of the body. “Six o'clock in the afternoon,” replied Siera, continuing the answer from the last owner of the body. For a moment, Diego squinted his eyes, gave Siera a suspicious look, then he crouched down and picked up the ground beneath him. Pay close attention. "Why have cigarette butts fallen here?" Diego asked, which made Siera crouch too. "Whose cigarette butt is this?" Diego took the gloves from his pocket and then put them in the plastic he had prepared. "Come on; I'm done here." This man is handsome and has many talents, Siera thought in her mind. It took about five minutes until they were in front of the entrance of Lee's grandfather's house. "What time will you meet Jason?" Diego asked; he didn't look at Siera. This question made Siera cringe on the spot. Siera thought in her heart, what is Diego thinking right now? She stared at Diego for a long time, causing Diego to turn his head towards Siera when he managed to open the door of Lee's grandpa's mansion. "Why just stay there?" Diego asked, his eyebrows rising. Siera blinked a few times until consciousness overtook her; she was stunned when she saw Diego. "He'll tell me the time and place later." Diego just nodded his head, then said, "Come on, let's go inside." The door was wide open. Both of them go inside. The room inside seemed gloomy. The house was so spacious, but no one lived there. The house had been empty and closed for days, the living room was open, and sunlight could enter so that the house was not too stuffy. "The police said the murder took place in the living room. Let's go there." Siera followed Diego from behind. Her heart was beating fast; in her previous life, she had used poison for many crimes, she used to hide and keep people from seeing her, and then in a matter of a few minutes, the people she had poisoned would fall on the floor. Even if they didn't die, Siera had gotten used to doing things without using her heart. She never thought about the consequences to the victim's family. She had harmed the lives of so many people, but at this moment, as she set foot in search of evidence for Lee's grandfather's murder, she felt goosebumps go down her spine. She didn't know, but right now, she could feel her heart beating fast. She wants to find out who killed Grandpa Lee. "It's over there," Diego said.
