Chapter 9

Raze placed her palm on her mouth as she yawned, her arms stretching out without uncovering her mouth. Scents of gunpowder, smoked meat and wilted roses ravaged her nose after opening the door. The brunette screeched, unwinding her body. It wasn't long before she almost sent the entire packhouse on panic after hearing what seemed to be a dying bird. Raze walked, almost hearing the same old proud voice that coaxed her into howling whenever the moon was full and round. The heterochromiac descended down the stairs as she heard the rumbling steps of what she seemed to be the other tenants of the house. Al buzzed around with several other Omegas, Raze could hear the orders and chatter being flung around in the air as she stepped into the dining hall. She approached the male Omega, taking the heavy silverware in his shaking hands. "Good morning, Al." She greeted the shocked and confused man. "I believe that I may need to help around in my stay. Just give me your orders, I'll service you." The older man couldn't help but get flushed at how they quickly offered to assist in the morning breakfast. That, or because of her wording. "O-Of course, just place those on the tables." Pointing at the long dark oak tables that had greyish blue covers. "Arrange them by this order." Raze nodded, seeing how Al prepared the plates and cutlery, went off to her own. Not before gifting a smile and bowing her head to the small Omega. Al couldn't stop the blush from travelling to his ears. As she passed by several people, — are the servants here mostly Omegas and some Betas? — Raze could feel stares on her. Well, she is the tallest one in the room as of now. Though there were plenty of others, most were looking away and whispering among themselves, not even acknowledging her presence. It seemed as though they appear to be quite frightened at the newcomer. Her grin widened, they shouldn't appear so dull. They would make good offerings when the Blood Moon appears. "What are you doing?" The gruff voice called out, other footsteps following suit after. Raze just hummed, moving to the left after arranging the plates in the order they're supposed to be in. Not minding the silence that plagued the room after the question hung in the air. "Hey," She heard him them approaching. "Are you f*****g deaf? I'm talking to you–" A hand gripped her shoulder. __________ Bedore the Achlys could stop his brother from harrassing Raze any further, he saw Sephtis stop. He, Teivel and Arius moved to get close and saw a small glinting thing the Sidero girl was holding. A small silver senbon resting on their brother's jugular. She smiled nonchalantly, "I'll need to earn my keep after intruding. Why, Mother would be very disapppointed if she heard I was so rude to not help with work." The room echoed her cold, dead laughter. It made Achlys shiver, but he doesn't know why he does not particularly dislike it.
