Chapter Seventeen
After she left, Beatrice joined Miss Sissy and Will in the sandbox. Will was getting increasingly enthusiastic with the trucks and sand started flying around in a rather alarming way. After Will got some in his mouth, Beatrice decided it was perhaps time to find another area of the playground to play in.
Which was precisely when Ash called her. “Piper is all finished with her nap and says she feels terrific.”
“Does she? That’s great news! Would you like me to keep Will with me for a little while?”
“If you don’t mind, could you bring him back home? She says she’s really missed him while she’s been sick,” said Ash.
“Absolutely. Just a heads-up that he might be a little sandy.”
Ash chuckled. “That’s just proof he’s had an excellent time with his grandmother.”
